    摘要: A strut-and-node truss design that is applicable to all space frame structure designs can be made with using robotic (semi-autonomous and/or fully autonomous) or telerobotic assembly/joining. Nodes can include a 2-dimensional weld path in an effort to reduce the complexity of having to weld in 3-dimensions. Furthermore, each strut to node connection can be concentrated in a small area where each weld can be performed robotically from a fixed position that only requires the robotic weld head to swivel in a small operating window to reach each joint.

Those elements subjected to high stress are preferably to be provided with individual pretensioning elements. The gussets (15) linking the diagonals with the upper boom carry advantageously the attachment elements of the supporting stay cables (2).

The arch stones comprise series of mixed steel-concrete arch stones (V.sub.M), each comprising a metal frame of steel integral with an upper concrete slab, these series being separated by interposed concrete arch stones or sections, (V.sub.B), the assembly of the arch stones being reinforced longitudinally by prestress cables which penetrate the metal frames and are attached at their ends to the concrete arch stones. This invention may be applied to bridge floors and similar structures.

    摘要: The bridge construction system and method according to the present invention provides a lightweight, efficient, economical, long-lasting, and easily implemented composite steel structure that can be filled with concrete in place for the construction of pedestrian and smaller road bridges, specifically those found in rural areas. The bridge construction system of the present invention is unique in that it is a steel-frame reinforced composite bridge with decking and rebar caging that provides a permanent, non-removable form for poured-in-place concrete. The composite nature of the bridge allows for installation of the bridge to take place in one day, while the entire process from site preparation such as grading and excavation to cleanup takes a week or less. The quick installation of the bridge is designed to have a minimally invasive impact on the surrounding environment.
