摘要: An apparatus and method for reinforcement of structural elements such as piles, posts, pillars, and pipes are disclosed. The apparatus includes an upper unit which may be fixed to the structural element above the waterline and a lower unit which is suspended from the upper unit via cables or other support members. The apparatus enables a reinforcing sleeve structure to be constructed in multiple segmented layers from above the waterline while the sleeve structure is lowered beneath the waterline. The lower unit guides the lower end of the sleeve structure down around the submerged portion of the structural element and supports the weight of the sleeve structure until it is fixed in place and filled with concrete or another reinforcing core filler material.

摘要: A roadway expansion joint apparatus comprises at least one finger joint that extends across an expansion gap. Each finger joint comprises a base plate, a finger unit, a pivot and a cantilever support. The finger unit comprises a body and at least one unsupported finger extending longitudinally from a distal end of the body. The pivot pivotally couples the finger unit to the base plate about a vertical pivot axis. The cantilever support is located at or between the pivot and a proximal end of the finger unit; the cantilever support allows pivoting of the finger unit relative to the base plate about a vertical pivot axis and impedes pivoting of the finger unit relative to the base plate about a horizontal axis, thereby cantilevering the finger joint to the base plate at the cantilever support.

摘要: When the measurement values measured by a first sensor among a plurality of sensors installed in a dispersed manner at a specific location, in first cycles are determined to be abnormal values, a control device activates the first sensor in second cycles that are shorter than the first cycles. Moreover, when the abnormal values are included in the trend of temporal variation, the control device activates a plurality of second sensors, which is installed around the first sensor, in the second cycles. Moreover, when the measurement values measured by the first sensor and the plurality of second sensors in the second cycles are included in the trend of surface-direction distribution, the control device outputs the measurement values measured by the first sensor and the plurality of second sensors.

摘要: An arch foot maintaining device includes a plurality of supporting structures, and the supporting structure includes a base, two base supporting seats, a hydraulic jack, a roller, and a roller supporting seat. The base is a cuboid with equal length and width, a through hole running through side surfaces of the base is provided on the base. A vertical guide groove is provided on each of the two base supporting seats. The roller supporting seat is U-shaped and located between the two base supporting seats, and the roller is rotatably supported in the roller supporting seat. Two ends of a central axis of the roller are respectively located in the two guide grooves, the hydraulic jack is disposed within the base, and a top of the hydraulic jack abuts against a bottom of the roller supporting seat.

摘要: A concrete deck demolition method for demolishing a concrete deck. The demolition method includes cutting two access windows into the concrete deck, installing a guide rail along a structural beam, making two tilted cuts on an upper surface of the structural beam, supporting the weight of the concrete deck utilizing an arching effect created by the geometry of the tilted cuts and lifting away a concrete deck cut portion for further demolition process.

摘要: According to the method, at least one carbon fibre-reinforced polymer band is joined to the steel structure at the end regions thereof, capable of transferring tensile forces. Subsequently, at least one lifting element (7) disposed between the carbon fibre-reinforced polymer band (4) and the steel girder (3) to be reinforced in a region between these end anchorages (5), is extended substantially perpendicular to the carbon fibre-reinforced polymer band (4). So, a tensile force stress is generated between the end regions of the carbon fibre-reinforced polymer band (4). Then, a steel girder treated in such a manner includes at least one carbon fibre-reinforced polymer band, which is each joined to the steel structure (1) at the end regions thereof, capable of transferring tensile forces. In the region between these end regions, a lifting element (7) is disposed between the carbon fibre-reinforced polymer band (4) and the steel girder (3) to be reinforced, by means of which the carbon fibre-reinforced polymer band (4) is subjected to tensile stress by lifting away from the steel girder (3). The tensile force is transferred to the steel girder (3) via the anchoring elements (5).
