    Abstract: The present invention provides a pulp product (e.g., paper) comprising cellulose and nanocellulose, wherein the nanocellulose is derived from the cellulose in a mechanical and/or chemical step that is separate from the main pulping process. The pulping process may be thermomechanical pulping or hydrothermal-mechanical pulping, for example. The pulp product is stronger and smoother with the presence of the nanocellulose. The nanocellulose further can function as a retention aid, for a step of forming the pulp product (e.g., in a paper machine). Other embodiments provide a corrugated medium pulp composition comprising cellulose pulp and nanocellulose, wherein the nanocellulose includes cellulose nanofibrils and/or cellulose nanocrystals and the nanocellulose may be hydrophobic. The nanocellulose improves the strength properties of the corrugated medium. In some embodiments, the cellulose pulp is a GreenBox+® pulp and the nanocellulose is derived from the AVAP® process.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a method for producing a three dimensional molded product from cellulose fibers, comprising the steps of: providing a cellulose fiber composition comprising 1-30 wt % lignin, said cellulose fiber composition further having a solid content between 0.1-95%; providing a forming tool having a three dimensional shape including a forming surface, and bringing said forming surface into contact with the cellulose fiber composition; and press drying the cellulose fiber composition contacted by the forming tool at temperatures>200° C. to a dry content of at least 70%. The invention also relates to a three dimensional fiber based product obtainable by means of said method.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a multi-layered fibrous web is disclosed, which includes at least two fibrous layers, where each layer is formed from one or more fibre stocks. The fibrous layers are combined prior to subjecting the multilayered fibrous web to wet-pressing and drying. At least one layer of the multi-layered fibrous web is formed from a fibre stock including at least 50 weight-% of a chemi-thermomechanical pulp (CTMP), a hardwood kraft pulp and/or a recycled fibre material calculated from a thick stock applied to a particular layer approach system. A first strength component and a second strength component are added to the fibre stock. The first strength component includes a cationic strength agent and the second strength component includes a synthetic amphoteric polymer composition having a net charge from −3 to +1 meq/g (dry), at a pH of 7.
