Abstract:
Anionic, hydrophobic polysaccharides useful as soil release agents in detergent compositions are graft copolymers of a polysaccharide having anionic substituents with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, the copolymer having a polysaccharide backbone carrying grafted hydrophobic vinyl polymeric groups derived from the ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and anionic substituents. The polymers exhibit enhanced release of both oily and particulate soil from both polyester and cotton.
Abstract:
A viscoelastic cleansing gel composition which includes: a. from about 4 to about 25% an anionic surfactant; and b. from 0 to about 20% of an amphoteric surfactant; wherein the composition has a G′h at 63 rad/s in a range of about 500 to about 1000 Pa. and a &ohgr;c in a range of about 0.1 to about 2 rad/sec and; wherein the ratio of anionic to amphoteric surfactant is in the range of about 1:3 up to a composition which has anionic but no amphoteric surfactant.
Abstract:
The invention relates to plaster type interior textured coating remover composition in the form of an aqueous solution containing at least one alkoxy ether solvent, an alcohol containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, at least one nitrogen containing compound, and a compound having an HLB of from 7.3 to 15.0.
Abstract:
An aqueous shampoo composition comprising, in addition to water an anionic cleansing surfactant, a cationic polymer, and a monoalkyl quaternary ammonium compound in which the alkyl chain length is C8 to C14.
Abstract:
Multipurpose cleaners are comprised of an alkoxylated carboxylic acid ester corresponding to the formula (I): wherein R1CO is an aliphatic acyl group, AlkO is CH2CH2O, CHCH3CH2O, CH2CHCH3O, or a combination thereof, n is a number from 1 to 20 and R2 is an aliphatic alkyl group, and a betaine, an amine oxide or a combination thereof.
Abstract:
Detergent compositions containing low molecular weight organic diamines are provided. More particularly, detergent compositions for hand dishwashing which have improved grease removal performance and benefits in sudsing are provided. Further, such detergent compositions have improved low temperature stability properties and dissolution properties.
Abstract:
Disclosed are nonaqueous, particulate-containing liquid laundry detergent compositions which are in the form of a suspension of particulate material, preferably including peroxygen bleaching agent and an organic detergent builder, dispersed in a liquid phase structured with alkylbenzene sulfonate anionic surfactant-containing powder. Such compositions provide especially desirable cleaning and bleaching of fabrics laundered therewith and also exhibit especially desirable pourability and chemical and phase stability.
Abstract:
An improvement is described in microemulsion composition which are especially effective in the removal of oily and greasy soil and are mild to the skin, containing an anionic detergent, a hydrocarbon ingredient, a cosurfactant and water, wherein the composition has a pH of at least 12.5.
Abstract:
Formulation components such as bleach boosting compounds selected from the group consisting of bleach boosters comprising quaternary imine cations, zwitterions, polyions having a net charge of from about +3 to about −3 and mixtures thereof, bleaching species comprising oxaziridinium cations, zwitterions, polyions having a net charge of from about +3 to about −3 and mixtures thereof, are disclosed. The bleach boosting compounds increase bleaching effectiveness even in lower temperature solutions and provides improved stability toward unwanted boosting compound decomposition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods to treat fabrics with lipophilic fluid and bleaching agents. The present invention is also directed to compositions containing lipophilic fluid and bleaching agents.
