Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing and purifying 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene using a first composition comprising 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene, 3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1243zf), and trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene (1234ze-E), said method comprising the steps of: (a) bringing said first composition into contact with at least one organic extraction agent in order to form a second composition; (b) extractive distilaation of said second composition in order to form (i) a third composition comprising said organic extraction agent, 3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1243zf), and trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene (1234ze-E), and (ii) a stream comprising the 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene; and (c) recovery and separation of said third composition in order to form a stream comprising said organic extraction agent and a stream comprising 3,3,3-trifluoropropene (1243zf) and trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-1-propene (1234ze-E).

Abstract: A method for producing a fluorine-containing halogenated hydrocarbon comprising reacting a chlorine-containing compound and hydrogen fluoride in a vapor phase, and a separation step of separating a reaction product containing hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride, and organic matter containing the fluorine-containing halogenated hydrocarbon into multiple components, the separation step comprising: separating the reaction product into a gas phase and a liquid phase, increasing the pressure of the liquid phase and supplying the liquid phase into a distillation column, compressing the gas phase and supplying the gas phase into the distillation column, separating a first stream containing the hydrogen chloride from the top of the distillation column, and separating a second stream containing the organic matter and the hydrogen fluoride from the bottom of the distillation column. The method is for stably obtaining a target compound by preventing hydrogen fluoride contained in the outlet gas from condensing during compression.

Abstract: A method for producing 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropane (HCFC-244bb) from a reaction composition including a mixture of HCFC-244bb and 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (HCFO-1233xf) by selectively hydrogenating the HCFO-1233xf component of the mixture in a vapor phase in the presence of hydrogen gas and a catalyst to generate a product composition including unreacted HCFC-244bb and hydrogenation products of HCFO-1233xf, such as 2-chloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane (HCFC-253db), which may be separated from the HCFC-244bb by distillation. The separated HCFC-244bb may then be purified by subsequent acid neutralization and drying steps.
