摘要： A system delivers a number of safe doses from a pressurized and metered medication canister via a dispenser to a patient. The improvement includes a counter device for accurately determining the number of safe doses delivered from the medication canister. Also, a warning device alerts the patient either visually, audibly, mechanically or in a combination thereof about an impending and then a final exhaustion of the number of safe doses delivered from the medication canister. The improved system takes advantage of the patient-actuated movement of the medication canister in the dispenser body to activate either an electronic or a mechanical counter device. Alternatively, the improved system may be patient-activated independently from, but in conjunction with, the dispensing of medication from the canister.

摘要： The connection between the actuating handle of a gasoline service station pump and the pump shaft is a lost motion connection wherein the pump may be actuated in the usual manner for turning the gasoline pump on but in returning the actuation handle to the vertical position, the connection between the handle and the pump shaft is floppy, i.e. a lost motion connection, so that the dial setting of the pump cannot be altered but the attendant can reset the indicating dials to zero and release the actuation lever for further operation by holding the actuating lever stationary, inserting a tool into the pump operating shaft and rotating the shaft and sleeve counter-clockwise a specified amount.

摘要： A liquid fuel dispensing system having a plurality of dispensing pumps each generating electric pulses according to the volume of fuel dispensed and a central control where payment is made. A data transmission link couples each pump to the central control and each pump has a pulse store which accumulates pulses generated by the pump during a dispensing operation. A sampling mechanism at the central control samples the outputs from the pulse stores which are updated at each sampling. First and second storage elements are provided to store information at the central control relating to previous pump transaction whereby such pump can be cleared for use by second customer before first customer has paid.

摘要： A combination counter and transmitter device for use with a liquid flow meter includes a coupling for connecting the device to the flow meter for rotating a gear on the coupling in response to liquid flow through the meter. A gear train drives counter wheels to count the volume of liquid flow through the meter and interconnected with the gear train is additional gear means for driving a first shaft which may be coupled to a correction arrangement for determining a correction factor to be applied to the volume as shown by the counter wheels of the present invention. The first shaft when not attached to the correction equipment may be employed to operate a sampler in the liquid line or for transmitting pulses or for other uses. Still additional gear means associated with the gear train and interconnected with the gear means that moves the counter wheels and the first shaft means rotates a second shaft means on which are mounted cam means. A switch is pivotally mounted adjacent the cam means and the gear train ratio is such that for each revolution of said second shaft means a predetermined volume of liquid flow will pass through the meter, and as the cam means is rotated by the shaft means, the switch means is actuated to generate a pulse for transmitting to any other desired equipment as an indication of a predetermined flow of liquid through the meter.

An electric analog signal is generated in response to liquid transference representative of the amount of liquid transferred. Calibration circuits weight the analog signal to reflect titrant concentration and sample volume and thereby provide direct readout on a display means, such as a digital voltmeter for example, of a titrated sample concentration. The calibration circuits also furnish analog subtraction of the analog signal to establish direct readout of the concentration of a back-titrated sample.
