Abstract: Methods and structures are provided for a dunnage system to facilitate efficient coupling together of supply units of pre-configured sheet stock material, such as, for example, separate units of fanfold stacks of pre-configured sheet stock material, in a manner of continuous supply with a continuous pocket extending longitudinally between the separate supply units, so that they can interact with an expander of the dunnage system without disruption as one supply unit is depleted and a next supply unit is fed through the dunnage system. Also, various methods, apparatus, and systems are provided to facilitate smooth operation of a dunnage machine of the dunnage system to reduce a tendency of the pre-configured sheet stock material to jam and to increase the tendency of dunnage product generated to reflect a desired shape and stability.

Abstract: Rewinder for the production of paper logs adapted to guide and transversely pre-cut a paper web along a predetermined path, adapted to wind a predetermined amount of the paper web on a core in a winding station, and including a threading mechanism for threading the web along said path. The threading mechanism includes a dragging unit provided to engage the web to drag it along the path with a predetermined feed direction and at least one dragging member to engage a respective flap of the web preceding the production of the logs. The dragging unit is located downstream of the winding station and is adapted to release the flap of the web from the dragging member, the release means being arranged downstream of the dragging so as to intercept the flap of the web and disengage it from the dragging while the web is fed.

Abstract: A joining unit includes: a suction holding member having a suction surface configured to suction an end section of a sheet; a moving mechanism configured to move the suction surface toward an intermediate section of a sheet of a delivery-side original material roll along a path set in advance so that tension is applied to the sheet; and a regulating mechanism that is configured to switch between a regulated state in which a movement of the end section of the sheet with respect to the suction holding member due to the tension is regulated and an allowable state in which the movement of the end section of the sheet with respect to the suction holding member is allowed. The controller switches the regulating mechanism to the regulated state during the movement of the suction surface toward the intermediate section of the sheet of the delivery-side original material roll.
