摘要： This disclosure relates to a product, the process for making same from precoated metal and the tool used for making the product. The product is a concurrently drawn and ironed sanitary food can wherein the side wall thickness of the container is relatively uniform and approximately 0.001" thinner than the thickness of the starting material. The process is a concurrent multiple drawing and ironing operation wherein the diameter and the wall thickness are reduced in each of a plurality of operations. Finally, the tools used for each drawing and ironing operation have particular configurations designed to permit this concurrent forming of both the diameter and the side wall thickness.

The profiled bottom wall includes an annular chime projecting inwardly and upwardly from the body wall which terminates in an annular bead. The construction is such that a 50 percent increase in resistance to buckling is achieved as compared to conventional bottom walls.

摘要： A generally rectangular polyethylene container for liquids such as milk having a collapsible spout along one corner of the top and having an integral foldable handle on the top, the container being adapted to be folded to collapsed condition by folding which is so arranged that the spout and handle are enclosed within the folds and accommodated in recesses between folded portions, the container being automatically opened out when it is filled with liquid and being self-supporting when thus filled. The foldable handle has an inclined outer edge and the handle is adapted to open out so that its inclined edge tilts the container toward the spout when the container in the dispensing cabinet is partially emptied, and the handle has an opening in a corner which is adapted to receive the dispensing tube during transit of the filled container.

A design methodology for the actuator body and swirl nozzle insert is disclosed for maintaining a small particle size or Sauter Mean Diameter (D[3, 2]) of less than 48 μm at a suitable spray rate (1.5-2 g/s), while utilizing a compressed gas VOC-free propellant for an air freshener product. As obtaining reduced particle size to compete with LPG propellants may result in a reduced spray rate, it is anticipated that one or more nozzles may be designed into the actuator body to maintain a suitable spray rate.

An inner tool is inserted into the neck portion from the bottom of a can body to form a stepped portion, and comprises a first forming section having a diameter smaller than an inner diameter of a neck portion. An outer tool comprises a second forming section that is opposed to the inner tool. The stepped portion is formed on the neck portion by sandwiching the neck portion by the first forming section and the second forming section. The inner tool further comprises a holding member that is situated coaxially with the can body to be contacted to an inner surface of the can body. The holding member is attached to the inner tool while being allowed to move in a radial direction together with the can body.

摘要： Referring to the invention, there is shown an assembled container for use in dispensing medicine, pharmaceutics, or similar-sized items. The multi-faceted two-part container is a novel truncated pyramidal shape and is an innovative solution to prior pill bottle designs, based on several factors: the container has better container stability over prior bottle shapes; it may be stacked at an angle in a user's home; a hinged lid opening creates easier user access; and the container shape yields greater internal volume (over prior container designs). Further, the container has a large labeling surface area, possesses angled surfaces that allow for easy viewing of redundant labeling medication information on the container by a user, and has container parts that can be manufactured, shipped and assembled in novel ways and at lower costs than traditional pill bottles.
