摘要: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a fuselage, a pair of fixed wings attached to the fuselage, a tail assembly attached to an aft portion of the fuselage and including a pair of stabilizers, a plurality of distributed propulsion units having first propellers that rotate about first rotational axes positioned below the fixed wings, and a plurality of tail propulsion units having second propellers that rotate about second rotational axes each positioned inline with one of the stabilizers. The first propellers are mounted fore of the fixed wings and the second propellers are mounted fore of a corresponding one of the stabilizers. Three or more of the distributed propulsion units are mounted to each of the fixed wings.

摘要: I present the aerodynamic optimization of the angle of attack of MQ-9 Reaper wings under turbulent airflow conditions. The background discusses the evolution of UAVs such as the Hunter and their usages for different tasks, specifically within the last decade. The main procedural stage consists of creating a criterion for choosing the most aerodynamic wing design by considering certain aerodynamic properties and analyzing the lift and drag coefficients using computer software. At the end of the paper, the final optimized MQ-9 wing design, along with its respective design parameters, are presented and discussed.

摘要: A multirotor aircraft that includes a chassis, three or more vertical rotors, one or more free wings and one or more fixed horizontal rotors. The free wing is attached to the chassis by an axial connection so that the angle of the free wing is changed relative to the chassis according the flow of air over the free wing. The fixed horizontal rotor enables the multirotor aircraft to lower and climb while flying forward at a stable horizontal pitch of the chassis.

The apparatus further includes an auger, driven by a motor and having a plurality of spiral like wire brushes, said auger mounted to and driven by a first motor; a spreader motor mount having a motor mount holding area for holding a second motor, the spreader motor mount having a motor mount connection area for connecting to the second end; and a spreader agitating device used for spreading the biological organisms or material over the target location.

摘要: Methods, systems and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for unmanned aerial vehicle beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flight operations. In an embodiment, a flight planning system of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can identify handoff zones along a UAV flight corridor for transferring control of the UAV between ground control stations. The start of the handoff zones can be determined prior to a flight or while the UAV is in flight. For handoff zones determined prior to flight, the flight planning system can identify suitable locations to place a ground control station (GCS). The handoff zone can be based on a threshold visual line of sight range between a controlling GCS and the UAV. For determining handoff zones while in flight, the UAV can monitor RF signals from each GCS participating in the handoff to determine the start of a handoff period.

摘要: The unmanned aerial vehicle, UAV, has a fuselage (1) with at least one rotating shaft (2) and one wing (3) positioned on the rotating shaft (2), protruding from either side of the fuselage (1). Preferably, the UAV has at least one rotor propeller (4) arranged on each rotating shaft (2), on either side of the fuselage (1), with one or more rotor blades (4a) and a housing (4b), which includes an actuator. The UAV is capable of shifting between a first flight mode using rotatable wings that rotate freely around the rotating shaft (2) only due to a direction and strength of wind impinging against a surface of the wings (3) and a downstream flow generated by the rotor propellers (4), and a second flight mode using fixed wings, kept in a predetermined position by a wing-locking mechanism, preferably a substantially horizontal position.

摘要: An apparatus providing continuous tilt and variable pitch for rotors on a fixed wing VTOL aircraft. An actuator on a housing rotates a first pivot point on a motor mount to tilt a motor to horizontal and vertical positions. Simultaneously, an actuator on the motor mount rotates a fork on a second pivot point on the motor mount to adjust the pitch of the rotors attached to a free end of the motor's drive shaft. A lower swash plate on the drive shaft is attached to the fork. An upper swash plate on the drive shaft is attached to the rotors. The swash plates are attached to each other with a shaft bushing attached to a shaft ball bearing. The shaft bushing allows both swash plates to move linearly along the shaft when the fork is rotated. The shaft ball bearing allows the upper swash plate to rotate with the drive shaft while the lower swash plate remains stationary.

摘要: An aircraft having a fuselage having a pressurized upper space above the floor and a lower space beneath the floor, a wing, a hollow support stay fixed between the lower space level of the fuselage and the wing, an electric motor propeller propulsion system fixed beneath each wing, the output shaft of the motor driving a propeller in rotation, a production system having a fuel cell producing electrical energy supplying the electric motor with electricity via electrical conductors, a hydrogen reservoir fixed in the lower space, and a hydrogen inlet pipe feeding hydrogen from a hydrogen reservoir to the production system, wherein the hydrogen inlet pipe extends through the interior of the support stay. The electrical conductors or the hydrogen pipes pass through the stays on the outside of the fuselage and therefore at a distance from the passengers and the electronic systems of the aircraft.
