    摘要: A drive train assembly for use in powered vehicles or trailers having at least one axle of driving wheels. The assembly includes a coupling mechanism coupling the engine of the vehicle and the driving wheels. The coupling mechanism is activatable between a first and a second state, wherein in the first state the engine and driving wheels are mechanically uncoupled and in the second state the engine is mechanically coupled to the driving wheels. When the driving wheels are rotated by the vehicle or trailer being towed and the engine turned off the coupling mechanism ensures that no parts of the drive train assembly do not rotate and are therefore damaged due to lack of lubrication. Two embodiments are disclosed, one with the coupling (138) in the transfer box (110), and in the second embodiment the coupling is in the wheel hub assembly. Also disclosed is an oil pump assembly driven by the wheels rather than the drive train to provide some lubrication when the wheels are rotating and the engine is off.

    摘要: In a differential limiting torque control section, a target differential rotation speed between front and rear drive shafts is established according to a dial position inputted by a driver of a variable dial. Further, an actual differential rotation speed between front and rear drive shafts is calculated and a deviation between the target differential rotation speed and the actual differential rotation speed is calculated. Based on the deviation, a first differential limiting torque and based on a dial position of a variable dial a second differential limiting torque are calculated. Further, a third differential limiting torque is calculated based on the dial position and a throttle opening angle. A final differential limiting torque between front and rear drive shafts is obtained by summing up these first, second and third differential limiting torques.

    摘要: A suspension system includes a swing arm which pivots about a pivot axis. A hub assembly, hub gear box and input gear box are mounted to an independently pivoting swing arm. The pivot axis is located below (closer to the ground) than a rotational axis defined by the hub assemblies and the input gear box. A coupling extends from the input gear box to receive an input driveline from a drive source such as vehicle engine. The coupling is located proximate the pivot axis to minimize relative movement during articulation of the swing arm. An axle housing extends between the input gear box and an opposite hub gear box to support a drive shaft and serves as a torsion bar between the independent swing arms.
