    Abstract: A device and method for dispensing air and/or sealant to a tire of a vehicle. Power supply for the air compressor is obtained via powered USB instead of the typical 12 V cigarette lighter connector. The position of the tire which is being inflated can also be determined via the data interface of the USB port. By communication between a compressor control module and the vehicle systems interface, the compressor can automatically switch off when the recommended tire pressure has been reached. The control module can be located in the USB power cord plug, and can provide for changes in voltage to the compressor to maximize power and inflation rate and/or efficiency.

    Abstract: A tire-repairing connector includes a main body and an insertion tube. The main body has a connecting end and a second end. The main body is provided therein with a gas inlet channel extending through the connecting end. The insertion tube is provided with a gas passage therein. One end of the insertion tube is provided in the second end of the main body, with the gas passage in communication with the gas inlet channel. The other end of the insertion tube is a pointed end with a clamping groove having an opening. The clamping groove is configured to hold a tire plug. The insertion tube and the tire plug held in the clamping groove can be inserted into a puncture in a tire to repair the puncture, and the tire can be inflated directly through the tire-repairing connector.

    Abstract: A tire defect detection system for detecting defects in a tire. The system includes at least one infrared camera, a pneumatic source and a computing device. The pneumatic source inflates the tire to a predetermined pressure. After inflation, the infrared camera captures a reference frame of a section of the tire. A period of time after capturing the reference frame, the infrared camera captures a subsequent frame. The subsequent frame is compared to the reference frame to detect a portion of the section of the tire that has a lower temperature. The lower temperature is caused by an escape of air from the tire through a defect. The escaping air cools the area of the tire around the defect, so a decrease in temperature indicates the defect.

    Abstract: The device for rotating and inspecting tires includes a housing having opposed upper and lower surfaces, with a ramp portion of the upper surface being inclined and a support portion of the upper surface having a depression formed therein. A pair of spaced apart slots are formed through the upper surface within the depression. A pair of rollers are mounted within the housing beneath the pair of spaced apart slots. Each of the rollers has an adjustable height such that the pair of rollers may be selectively raised and lowered through the pair of spaced apart slots. The rollers are driven to rotate by motors or the like such that, in use, each tire may be lifted off the upper surface of the housing by raising the rollers, and the rollers may be driven to rotate the tire.     Abstract: The tire repair tool is used for repairing a damaged tire. The tire repair tool plugs the damaged tire. The tire repair tool is configured for use with an impact wrench. The impact wrench is a pneumatic device that drives the working element of the tire repair tool into the damaged tire such that the tire repair tool can deposit a plug in an aperture formed through the damaged tire. The tire repair tool comprises a needle structure, a stop collar, and a locking nut. The stop collar and the locking nut attach to the needle structure. The needle structure forms the working element of the tire repair tool that inserts the plug into the damaged tire. The stop collar limits the depth of insertion of the tire repair tool into the damaged tire. The locking nut fixes the position of the stop collar relative to the needle structure.
