Abstract:
A combination square is provided with a square head that includes a pair of bores extending through a blade receiving slot, a pair of pins, each pin having an eccentric outermost surface and being engaged in a corresponding one of the bores, and a ruled blade that is releasably engaged in the slot such that the relative angle between the head and the blade can be adjusted by rotating one or both of the pins about the axis of the corresponding bore.
Abstract:
An auxiliary device according to the present disclosure includes a ruler part, a plurality of electrodes provided at the ruler part, a receiving electrode for receiving an uplink signal transmitted from a sensor controller, and a processor that transmits a downlink signal to the sensor controller while sequentially switching the plurality of electrodes in response to reception of the uplink signal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fractal-based mandala drawing toolset, comprising at least one pair of rulers each having a different cross-sectional width, where each pair of rulers is related by the ratio between their cross-sectional widths, wherein said related pair of rulers and the combination of their widths are utilized for drafting a master grid with a predetermined shape and resolution, which is utilized as the infrastructure for creating a mandala drawing.
Abstract:
A layout tool is provided for use in marking a work piece to be cut. The layout tool includes a generally flat body having an even surface, a linear edge, locating indicia adjacent the linear edge, and a gripper attached to the flat body. The gripper is movable from an initial position. In the initial position, the gripper is generally aligned with the even surface of the flat body. The gripper can be moved toward the work piece from the initial position to engage the work piece when the flat body overlies the work piece.
Abstract:
A multifunctional writing instrument includes a hollow body, wherein the hollow body comprises one or more cavities configured to attach with a plurality of technical drawing tools. A first writing member having a first writing tip is included. The first writing member includes lead and a mechanical pencil system being provided in a first portion of the hollow body, and wherein the first writing tip is axial with respect to the hollow body. A second writing member having a second writing tip is included. The second writing member comprises ink and an ink pen system being provided in a second portion of the hollow body. The first portion of the hollow body is at an opposite end of the second portion of the hollow body. The second writing tip is axial with respect to the hollow body.
Abstract:
Allocation of slots to different styluses is flexibly changed in units of the slot that is shorter than a frame. A stylus bi-directionally transmits and receives signals to and from a sensor controller connected to a sensor via capacitive coupling. The stylus includes a memory that temporarily stores a value of a local ID. The stylus includes a controller that determines whether or not a detected uplink signal includes the value of the local ID stored in the memory every time the uplink signal transmitted by the sensor controller is detected. The controller, in response to determining the detected uplink signal includes the value of the local ID stored in the memory, generates a downlink signal that is based on an operation state and transmits the downlink signal to the sensor controller.
Abstract:
A method is shown by which threaded pipe sections are connected to form a tubular joint having proper sealing positioning at proper make-up torque. A make-up stencil plate is manufactured for each specific size of pipe to be coupled at the specific taper and make-up loss of a given connection with very tight tolerance. The plate is placed on the pin pipe end of the connection. A dial indicator is placed on the outer surface of the pipe pin end with the indicator flush with the end of the stencil plate. Once the indicator is set to zero, the stencil plate is removed. Then a bucking unit or power tong is applied to the coupling. When the face of the coupling hits the tip of the indicator and the indicator is within the given tolerance, the operator stops the make-up process.
Abstract:
A ruler assembly comprising a ruler having a top extending along a ruler width and a ruler length. The top has an inner top surface and an outer top surface. The assembly has at least one side wall extending along the ruler length. The side wall extends from a side wall bottom edge to a side wall top edge proximal to the outer top surface. The outer top surface comprises a plurality of step surfaces, each having a step height measured from the side wall bottom edge to the side wall top edge of each of the plurality of step surfaces. In some embodiments, the inner top surface and the inner side wall surface define a ruler cavity configured to removably couple to an insert ruler.
Abstract:
Apparatus, systems and methods in accordance with the present invention are related to rotary cutting tools and rulers. In one illustrative embodiment of a system in accordance with the present invention, a ruler for use with a rotary cutting tool has a guide ridge formed as a wall along a cutting edge of the ruler. A hand held rotary cutting tool has a groove in a cutting portion thereof that corresponds to the guide ridge and resides thereon during cutting. The rotary blade of the hand held rotary cutter is maintained in a position adjacent to the cutting edge of the ruler as the cutter is advanced long the ruler cutting edge by the interaction of the groove and the guide ridge. The cutter may include blade guard locking features and a blade depth control for additional safety and control during use.
Abstract:
A sprinkler drop ruler is provided for measuring the sprinkler drop from a roughed-in outlet. The sprinkler drop ruler includes a rigid frame having an opening, a handle connected to the rigid frame and in fixed relation to the rigid frame, and a ruler with an end shaped to seat in the opening and configured to move inside or along a side of the handle in order to measure a sprinkler drop. The sprinklerfitter may thus use the sprinkler drop ruler in order to measure the sprinkler drop. In this way, the sprinklerfitter does not need to climb a ladder to measure the sprinkler drop.
