摘要： An ink ribbon cassette apparatus which eliminates slack in an ink ribbon when the ink ribbon cassette is loaded on a printer. The ink ribbon is supplied from a supply reel and taken up on a take-up reel both supported on the cassette. A detector detects when the cassette is loaded on the cassette apparatus and in turn drives the take-up reel to draw a short length of the ink ribbon onto the take-up reel. The rotatable supply member is restrained by spring tension from rotating and from supplying the ribbon, providing a back tension on the ink ribbon and preventing slack.

摘要： The present feed regulating conveyor bin has a lower conveyor for conveying fibrous materials toward a discharge device including a pair of inclined rows of spiked rollers. A stud link chain conveyor is provided above the lower conveyor in the upper portion of the bin housing. Flexible, smooth surfaced pieces are hinged to each of the stud links. The surface pieces have a width substantially equal to the width of the housing and a length greater than the distances between adjacent stud links of the chain. A platform is provided beneath the upper course of the stud link chain conveyor in the region of an inlet opening on the upper surface of the housing, to support the surface pieces in a horizontal position for receiving and transporting fibrous material. At the end of the platform the surface pieces hinge downwardly to drop the fibrous material onto the lower conveyor belt or if a pile of material is already present thereon, to carry the fibrous material on the other sides of the surface pieces supported by the top of the pile of material, for discharge at the end of the pile away from the discharge device.

When the ribbon holder is not in the initial position, the print head is not moved away from the zero position and the zero-position signal remains even if the print head is commanded to move away from the zero position, so that the single zero position sensor cooperates with the locking mechanism to detect both the print head zero position and the ribbon holder initial position.

In ribbon drive direction (14) cartridge (10) automatically drops into coupling interconnection for ribbon feed. Upon turning ribbon feed device (6) in reverse direction (16) blade (5) or noses (17) slide up ramp (11) and lift the rear part and drop the front part of the cartridge (10) so that the print line is rendered visible.

摘要： An ink ribbon cassette is pivotably mounted to a printer. Ink ribbon is accommodated in the ink ribbon cassette and is caused to travel by a ribbon feed roller driven by a drive shaft provided in the printer. Printing operation is carried out at the cassette end arm portion by a printing head, while the cassette end arm portion is reciprocatingly moved in the widthwise direction of the ink ribbon relative to the fixed printing head by an actuating mechanism so that a printing region of the ink ribbon is diffused and becomes wider than a printing width of the printing head. The actuating mechanism includes a small gear integral with the ribbon feed roller, a cam driven by the small gear, and a lever engaging with the cam.
