Abstract: A method of producing a package closure (10) of plastic material by means of a mould comprising movable jaws (35, 36), a counterpart (37), an outer first tool core part (38), an inner second tool core part (39) and an ejector (40), wherein the outer first tool core part, the second tool core part and the ejector are axially displaceable relative each other, comprising the steps of axially displacing the outer first tool core part and the second tool core part in relation to each other in a first direction, thereby disengaging the cap from the outer first tool core part while keeping the inner second tool core part engaged with the cap, and then axially displacing the inner second tool core part and the outer first tool core part and/or the ejector (32) in relation to each other in the first direction or in an opposite second direction while folding a foldable portion (21) of the package closure inward through an inherent flexibility of the package closure (10), Disclosed is also a device for producing the package closure (10) and various embodiments of package closures.

Abstract: Molded articles having a decorative effect include at least 75% by weight neutralized acid copolymer. The molded articles include from 0.1% to 5% by weight polyamide-based pigment masterbatch. The polyamide-based pigment masterbatch includes from 30% to 95% by weight polyamide and from 5% to 70% by weight of a first pigment associated with the polyamide. The molded articles further include from 0.1% to 5% by weight of a second pigment derived from a liquid-based pigment masterbatch; and from 0.1% to 0.7% by weight of oil-based carrier derived from the liquid-based pigment masterbatch. Methods for preparing the molded articles include dry blending a neutralized acid copolymer, a polyamide-based pigment masterbatch, and a liquid-based pigment masterbatch to form an initial mixture; feeding the initial mixture to an injection molding apparatus; and molding the initial mixture with the injection molding apparatus to form the molded article.

Abstract: The invention provides a process for the preparation of a multimodal high density polyethylene (HDPE) having a melt flow rate (MFR2) of 0.1 to 4.0 g/10 min, said process comprising: (i) polymerising ethylene in a first polymerisation stage in the presence of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst to prepare a first ethylene homopolymer having a MFR2 from 10 to 500 g/10 min; (ii) polymerising ethylene in a second polymerisation stage in the presence of said catalyst and said first ethylene homopolymer to prepare an ethylene homopolymer mixture comprising said first ethylene homopolymer and a second ethylene homopolymer, said mixture having a MFR2 from 50 to 1000 g/10 min; and (iii) polymerising ethylene and at least one alpha-olefin comonomer in a third polymerisation stage in the presence of said catalyst and said ethylene homopolymer mixture to prepare said multimodal HDPE.

Abstract: A re-closable packaging assembly includes a container formed at least partially by a first film, and the container has a plurality of walls that cooperate to define an interior volume. The container has an opening through at least one of the plurality of walls. A closure assembly is secured to the container adjacent the opening and comprises a second film and a portion of the first film. The closure assembly includes a lid member pivotable about a hinge portion between a first position in which the lid member releasably engages the container surrounding the opening and a second position in which the lid member is pivoted away from the opening. A first engagement feature may be disposed on the container and a second engagement feature may be disposed on the lid member to removably secure the lid member to the container when the lid member is in the first position.
