    Abstract: An eyewash eyepiece has an upper section with an eyepiece member fabricated of pliable, form fitting material and a lower section having a bottom floor with a plurality of holes. The eyepiece member is configured to be placed on and surround the outer boundaries of the user's eye. Once in place over the user's eye, the eyepiece member creates a watertight seal against the outer boundaries. The eyepiece then accepts water or other eye cleaning liquid from a water bottle or similar container which is threadably secured to the eyepiece. The liquid flows through the eyepiece, past the eyepiece member, and into the eye to wash out any foreign matter and cleanse the eye.

    Abstract: An emergency wash system is configured to dispense a fluid. The emergency wash system includes a basin, a sprayhead disposed at least partially over the basin, and a drain conduit coupled to the basin. The sprayhead includes a fluid inlet portion, a first fluid outlet portion coupled to the fluid inlet portion, and a second fluid inlet portion coupled to the fluid inlet portion. The fluid inlet portion is oriented substantially parallel to the drain conduit and vertically above the drain conduit.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for remote monitoring and data capture in an emergency washing apparatus adapted for generating a controlled spray or jet of water directed at a user for washing therewith. A washing unit includes a water inlet and one or more water outlets arranged for forming a spray or jet of water received from the water inlet. One or more sensors is configured to sense one or more properties of the water received at the water inlet selected from: a water flow rate, a water pressure, a water temperature, a water pH level, a bacteria content. The one or more sensors are configured to generate a representative measurement signal indicating a value of the one or more sensed properties of the water, and to transmit the measurement signal for reception locally at, or remotely from, the washing unit.
