摘要： An absorbent article comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article comprises a first fluid handling zone having a first Transverse Fluid Travel Distance and a second fluid handling zone having a second Transverse Fluid Travel Distance. The first Transverse Fluid Travel Distance is at least about 50% greater than said second Transverse Fluid Travel Distance, which results in an absorbent article that is better able to handle bodily fluids and reduce the risk of accidental leakage of bodily fluids onto a consumer's undergarments.

摘要： Nonwoven webs having excellent fluid handling characteristics are disclosed. The nonwoven webs are made from a combination of binder fibers and structure fibers. The structure fibers are made from multicomponent, hollow fibers. The structure fibers include first polymer component zones that alternate with second polymer component zones around the circumference of the fiber. The first polymer component zone is made from a polymer having a lower melting temperature than the polymer contained in the second polymer component zone. In this manner, the fibers have a three-dimensional conformation that produces significant void volume within the nonwoven web.

The disclosed pad has a longitudinal axis and a lateral axis, and has a topsheet including a nonwoven web, a backsheet, and an absorbent structure between the topsheet and the backsheet. The nonwoven web includes at least a first arrangement of first apertures having a first average size, and a second arrangement of second apertures having a second average size. The first average size is greater than the second average size. The first arrangement occupies a rectangular central region centered about the longitudinal axis and straddling the lateral axis. The first average size is 0.4 mm2 to 0.6 mm2; and the central region has an Average Percent Open Area of 1 to 12 percent. The second arrangement occupies one or more regions laterally and/or longitudinally outboard of the central region, and the second average size is 0.05 mm2 to 0.2 mm2.

摘要： A dressing for treating a tissue site may include a base layer, a sealing member, a first and a second wicking layer, and an absorbent layer. The base layer may have a plurality of apertures and may be adapted to cover the tissue site. The sealing member and the base layer may define an enclosure. The first and the second wicking layer may each be disposed in the enclosure with the absorbent layer positioned between the first and the second wicking layer. A conduit comprised of an absorbent material that is vapor permeable and liquid impermeable may be in fluid communication with the dressing for providing reduced pressure to the dressing. Other dressings, systems, and methods are disclosed.
