Abstract: A fiber forming device is disclosed that is well suited to producing nonwoven webs having excellent barrier properties. In one aspect, the fiber forming device can be used to produce meltblown webs or coform webs. The fiber forming device includes a die head containing multiple rows of polymer nozzles for forming fibers. Air flow paths are positioned on either side of the rows of polymer nozzles. In addition, an air flow path is positioned in between the rows of polymer nozzles. The air flow paths produce an attenuating gas stream that attenuates fibers being produced by the polymer nozzles and directs the fibers onto a forming surface for forming nonwoven webs.

Abstract: An electronic dispenser for dispensing flexible sheet material may include a driven feed roller assembly that is operable to dispense the sheet material though a discharge chute of a housing of the dispenser. The feed roller assembly can comprise a feed roller rotatably mounted within the dispenser housing that includes a body having an outer surface against which the sheet material is engaged to feed the sheet material toward the discharge chute, as well as a drive mechanism that is substantially integrated within the body of the feed roller and operable to drive the feed roller. The dispenser also may include one or more pressing rollers biased toward the body of the feed roller so as to engage the sheet material therebetween, and a control system linked to the drive mechanism to control the operation thereof.

Abstract: Methods for producing a dispenser for dispensable products are disclosed. The method includes attaching a label to the front plate of the dispenser by an in-mold process. The label has a label height (H2) that is less than the front plate height (H1) and label width (W2) that is less than the front plate width (W1) such that a border is formed around at least a portion of the label in the front plate. The front plate can be formed from a transparent material while the label is formed from an opaque material.

Each layer of the multiple layers can include embossed longitudinal ridges and grooves.

Abstract: A dispenser is disclosed that facilitates loading of new rolls of material and the removal of empty cores. The dispenser includes a cradle roller spaced from a pair of abutment rollers. As a roll of material is dispensed, the diameter of the roll reduces causing the roll to drop from the cradle roller to a collection device. A transfer assembly pivots with the roll so that the sheet material continues to be dispensed from the dispenser without interruption. Once the roll of material drops to the collection device, a new roll of material can be loaded into the dispenser for automatic transfer to the new roll once the first roll of material has been completely depleted.

In some aspects, the modification agent can decrease a level of extracellular ATP in a target environment.

Abstract: The present invention provides multi-ply creped tissue products, and in particular embodiments creped wet-pressed tissue products, having substantially higher per-ply basis weights, such as from about 14.0 grams per square meter or greater. Despite having relatively high per-ply basis weights, the products are generally soft and flexible, such as having a softness value (measured as TS7) less than about 10.0 and a Stiffness Index less than about 20.0. While being soft and flexible, the tissue products are durable enough to withstand use, such as having a geometric mean tensile (GMT) greater than about 1,000 g/3″.
