    摘要： A rib end connector, a plug to receive a rib socket, or a rib to be coupled with an upper or lower hub of a shade structure is provided that has a pin connection portion that has a first end configured to be disposed in a channel of an umbrella or other shade structure hub. The apparatus has a second portion opposite the first portion, a first side surface, and a second side surface. A circumferential width of the pin connection portion is defined between the first and second lateral surfaces. A pin channel disposed between the first side surface and the second side surface. The pin channel has a narrowest portion disposed between the first side surface and the second side surface and increases in size between the narrowest portion and the first side surface and/or the second side surface.

    摘要： A wind-resistant foldable umbrella includes a main shaft; a runner mounted around the main shaft and sliding between an opening position and a folding position; a first canopy and a second canopy with a central portion thereof fixed to the runner and the top end of the main shaft, respectively; a plurality of the umbrella ribs and a plurality of the pulling elements peripherally disposed around the main shaft and between the first canopy and the second canopy. Two ends of the pulling elements are connected to the corresponding umbrella rib and the runner, respectively. When the runner is at the opening position, the umbrella ribs expand toward the bottom end of the main shaft, so the first and the second canopy expand. Moreover, the umbrella ribs are pulled toward the main shaft by the resilient force from each pulling element.

The hub has a top surface, a plurality of side walls forming a slot therebetween, and a displaceable retention device having a free end disposed at an elevation below the top surface. The displaceable retention device is moveable laterally away from the slot. The structural member has an end configured to swing in the slot. The end has a laterally extending rotation device. The rotation device extends laterally beyond the free end of the displaceable retention device when the end is disposed in the slot.

    摘要： An umbrella includes a notch member aligned with an elongate stem along an axis for connection with a rib assembly, a canopy mounted on the notch member, and a runner slidably sleeved on the stem and connected to a stretcher assembly to stretch or retract the rib assembly. First and second coupling members are respectively secured to the notch member and the stem, and have coupling ends swivelable and frictionally rotatable relative to each other about the axis. A retaining member is disposed to prevent relative displacement of the coupling ends along the axis. As such, the canopy can be forced to rotate relative to the stem about the axis once subjected to a relatively strong external force.
