Abstract: A method of using ZnO particles for the treatment of colon cancer and a method of using the particles for reducing the concentration of an organic contaminant in an aqueous solution is described. The ZnO particles are substantially spherical and may have nanopetals that provide a nanoflower morphology. The synthesis and characterization of the ZnO particles is also discussed.

Abstract: Pet shampoos, pet food compositions, and methods thereof are disclosed herein. In accordance with an aspect, provided is a method for reducing alopecia, skin secretion, ear secretion, and/or erythema scores of a companion animal comprising: feeding a pet food composition to a pet, and applying a pet shampoo to the pet within about 36 hours of providing the pet food composition to the pet, wherein the pet food composition comprises a plurality of fatty acids selected from omega-3 fatty acids, omega-6 fatty acids, omega-9 fatty acids, and a combination thereof, quercetin, and one or more vitamins comprising a vitamin C, a vitamin E, or a combination thereof; and wherein the pet shampoo comprises: from about 1 to about 15 wt. % of an amphoteric surfactant, from about 5 to about 25 wt. % of a nonionic surfactant, and from about 1 to about 20 wt. % of a polyol.

Abstract: An everything bone pet treat for providing nutrition for a dog is presented. The pet treat has a top, a bottom, an aperture, a filling and one or more toppings. The filling may include one or more ingredients such as wheat flour, corn syrup, glycerin, gelatin, wheat protein lecithin, rosemary extract, potato flour and vegetable glycerin. Toppings are placed upon the top of the pet treat. The toppings include at least one of meat, cheese powder, potato, sweet potato, oatmeal. The meat is preferably bacon, beef, salmon, chicken, etc. The pet treats are highly palatable to pets and therefore very well-suited for the delivery of healthy ingredients.
