Abstract: An assembly unit attachable to a base structure has at least one assembly part with a through opening and at least one fastener with a radially expanded head and a shaft that is provided with a fastening section extends through the through opening and is held captive therein. The shaft is encircled by a sleeve and the head of the fastener projects in a radial direction over the sleeve. Two stop elements project from the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve. An axial catch projects from the wall of the through opening. The axial catch and the stop elements are embodied such that they can be moved past each other in axial direction. The axial catch inside the through opening and the second stop element on the outer circumferential surface are respectively arranged in an axial position. The fastening section is arranged in a specific axial position relative to the surface of the assembly part that is facing away from the head.

Abstract: A method and device helps to prevent theft of sonar devices and GPS units from the brackets they are normally installed on or mounted to. The present invention provides for a unique locking device having a threaded end. The locking device is capable of alternatively permitting and prohibiting rotation of the threaded end. When a key is turned to lock the device, the handle of the device is permitted to rotate freely and the device does not permit rotation and removal of the threaded end. The device also provides for a hardened spacer that directly abuts the handle such that it prevents a thief from getting access to, and thus cutting the threaded end of the locking device.

Abstract: A safety pin and a magnetic key to actuated, loosen or tighten the pin, which incorporate means to automatically and by magnetic attraction connect a body of a cavity of a head of the pin, formed by a fixed part at an end of a road and by a movable par, by applying the key. The safety head of the pin delimits a totally closed cavity for a body of magnetic material, enable to slide axially while transmitting torque inside the cavity, provided with lateral locking means cooperating with similar means of the body, which is pressed against a bottom of the cavity by a spring supported by an upper base of the movable part, having external torque transmitting locking means for corresponding ones in the key. The latter incorporates in a tubular body a magnet on its extremity, which supports the torque transmitting locking means for coupling with the corresponding one in the head of the pin, while simultaneously applying a magnetic force that attracts the body in the cavity, thus locking the parts of the head in order to apply an actuating torque on the pin.

Abstract: The present invention is a locking device for securing outboard motors and stem drives mounted on a plurality of exposed studs on the stem of a boat, and construction equipment on a plurality of studs inset in concrete or other media and other items which can be mounted. Abstract: The present invention comprises a lug nut which has two separable portions connected by a frangible neck, wherein a first portion engages the threads of the stud, and a second portion provides a surface adapted to engage a wrench so that the lug nut may be driven into the stud. When the stud-engaging first portion has been threaded onto the stud and sufficiently tightened, continued application of torque cause the frangible, wrench-engaging second portion to shear off from the stud-engaging first portion. The stud engaging portion has an annular notch which is adapted to engage a snap ring located in the wrench-engaging portion. After the wrench-engaging portion is severed from the stud-engaging portion, the wrench-engaging portion is then reversed and positioned onto the stud-engaging portion. When so positioned, the snap ring engages the notch, which rotatably secures the wrench-engaging portion to the stud engaging portion. The wrench-engaging portion, thus acts as a cover or shroud for the stud-engaging portion, and being rotatable provides a tamper-proof cover for the stud-engaging portion.
