Abstract:
Apparatus for drilling holes through concentric pipes is provided. The apparatus clamps on the exterior pipe and contains drilling assemblies that may be used for drilling sequentially or simultaneously two colinear holes.
Abstract:
A ring with a cutting edge detachably fixed to a drilling tool, and machines the peripheral edge of a hole bored by the drilling tool can be simply attached to the drilling tool. A ring with a cutting edge is constituted by a ring portion, in which an insertion hole allowing a drilling tool to be inserted in the direction of an axis O thereof and having a circular shape in plane view, is formed, the ring portion has a portion on the inner peripheral surface provided with a recess formed radially outward, a circular-arc arm portion, which extends in the peripheral direction from one peripheral end of the inner peripheral surface toward the other peripheral end thereof, in the opening edge of the recess facing the inner peripheral surface and is elastically deformable in the radial direction, is formed integrally in the ring portion, and the circular-arc arm portion is pressed axially inward by a fastening screw threadedly attached to a threaded attachment hole which goes through the ring portion in the radial direction, and is opened to a bottom surface of the recess.
Abstract:
An adjustment device for adjusting the position of at least one cutter of a fine machining tool, particularly a reamer, with respect to a cutter support (ST) is described. To allow the cutter to be adjusted as precisely as possible, the cutter support (ST) borders at least one pressure chamber (DK) which is arranged in the adjustment direction of the cutter (S) with a displacement with respect to it and which is filled with a pressure medium which can be placed under pressure using a pressure generation device. Between the cutter (S) and the pressure chamber (DK), a cutter support wall (W) remains which is elastically deformable upon application of pressure by the pressure transfer means to adjust the cutter position.
Abstract:
Since the chip-breaking groove 30 is cut in the inner peripheral surface of the prepared hole 22 by compressing the chip-breaking tool 10 into the prepared hole 22 prior to the tapping process (the cutting process of the female thread) by the cut tap, the chip can be securely broken by the chip-breaking groove 30 and well discharged even in the case that the work 20 is made of the material having the high ductility. Accordingly, for example, as shown in FIG. 10, it is possible to prevent a lot of long connected chips from entwining the tap, it is unnecessary to monitor the tapping work, and it is possible to achieve a complete automation (an unmanned work). Further, it is possible to inhibit the cut tap from being broken due to the pinching of the chip, and it is easy to execute a treatment such as a chip cleaning or the like.

Abstract:
A chuck for securing a working tool in a machine tool and including a one-piece, ring-shaped carrier member arranged outside of the end surface of the receiving end region of the chuck and parallel thereto and provided with cutting region having additional cutting elements distributed circumferentially around the receiving bore of the receiving end region and extending transverse to a plane defined by the ring-shaped carrier member and projecting away from the carrier member which secured by crews to the receiving end region of the chuck.
Abstract:
A deep-bore drilling machine consists of a deep-bore drilling unit (1) which is driven by rotation and has a deep drill tool (4, 7). The front end (7) of the deep-bore drilling tool (4) is led into the drill bushing (10) at the beginning of the drilling operation. The drill bushing (10) is thereby contained in a main spindle (22) and is replaceable. Also, the main spindle (22) can also be driven independent of drive (2) of the deep-bore drilling unit (1) by another drive (30).
Abstract:
A torch tip rebuilding tool which can be held in one's hand and used to reface the seat located on one end of a used torch tip, and to reface the opposed outlet end of the tip. The tool has opposed cavities formed at each end which are aligned along the longitudinal axial centerline thereof. Within one of the cavities there is mounted a milling tool which receives the outlet end of the torch tip thereagainst so that relative rotation between the torch tip and the tool removes material from the outlet end. The other cavity has a plurality of blades pivotally captured therewithin in such a manner that the blades are radially spaced about the axial centerline of the tool with the cutting edges thereof disposed at an appropriate angle so that when the inlet end of a torch tip is placed within the cavity and relative rotation effected between the torch tip and the tool, material is simultaneously removed from both the seats located at the inlet end of the torch tip.
