    摘要: A multi-bladed tool system for use with automatic bar lathes and screw machines is disclosed. Parting and chamfering blades are claimed in an elongated holder in predetermined spaced relationship according to intended workpiece configuration by spacer elements and a set screw driven clamping jaw. The blades may extend through the length of the holder so that both ends of the blades may be used by reversing the holder. The blades are trapezoidal in cross section to provide for adequate transmission of clamping forces to all the blades.

    摘要: A cutting tool holder comprising an elongated holder body having a shaft receiving bore extending longitudinally therethrough, an elongated tool mounting shaft adapted to receive at least one cutting tool in a fixed position thereover and means for releasably retaining the mounting shaft in position within the holder body. The holder body is affixed to a metal removal or cutting machine by convenient conventional means with cutting tool positioned relative to a workpiece as desired. The holder may include means which permit a plurality of cutting tools to be simultaneously mounted on the shaft to accommodate the performance of a plurality of metal removal operations. The tool holder may also conveniently include a micrometer-like arrangement between the mounting shaft and holder body to provide indication means as to relative location of the cutting tool from a first normal position and means for supplying a continuous coolant fluid flow to the cutting tool.

    摘要: A parting off tool has a cutting tip which is clamped between a lower blade member and the front of an upper clamping member. The clamping is effected by rotating the clamping member about a pivot point using a screw adjustment made on the rearward part of the clamping member, the blade member being held stationary. The cutting tip is adjustable using a pusher rod bearing against the rear face of the tip. A chamfer cutting blade can be mounted alongside the blade member so that the same tool can be used both for parting off and also for putting a chamfer on the workpiece left in a lathe. The combined operation can be performed simultaneously in some instances.
