    摘要: A ball screw has a nut formed with a helical ball rolling groove on its inner circumference. A screw shaft is formed with a helical ball rolling groove on its inner circumference. The screw shaft is inserted into the nut. A number of balls are rollably contained within a ball rolling passage formed by oppositely arranged helical ball rolling grooves of the nut and the screw shaft, respectively. The nut is made of case hardened steel. The ball rolling groove is formed by cutting and surface hardening, by vacuum carburizing hardening, without any after-processing.

Therefore in the threading cutting insert, a plurality of tooth-shaped cutting edges are formed in a cross ridge line portion between a rake face and flanks formed in a cutting side face, wherein the plurality of mountain-shaped cutting edges provides at least one finishing cutting edge for transferring a shape of a screw, and at least one roughing cutting edge formed in a tooth shape smaller than that of the finishing cutting edge. A flank of the finishing cutting edge includes a first flank, and a second flank having a clearance angle larger than that of the first flank, wherein the finishing cutting edge, the first flank, and the second flank are sequentially provided in that order from the rake surface in a direction of a lower surface of the insert.

    摘要: The disclosure is directed to a cutting tool assembly used for creating grooves in a microreplication tool. The cutting tool assembly includes a mounting structure and multiple diamonds aligned in the mounting structure to a tolerance of less than 10 microns. For example, first and second tool shanks having first and second diamond tips can be positioned in the mounting structure such that a cutting location of the first diamond tip is identical to a cutting location of the second diamond tip. However, the second diamond tip may be a defined distance further away from the mounting structure than the first diamond tip, or the second diamond tip may have a different shape than the first diamond tip. In this manner, the first diamond tip may cut a groove into a work piece and the second diamond tip may cut a sub-feature into the groove to create a multi-featured groove.
