Abstract:
A spring-style railway hose support has a retraction-biased extension unit of a longitudinally compressible spring and a pair of oppositely directed internal wireforms within the longitudinally compressible spring. The internal wireforms engage respective ends of the longitudinally compressible spring, and a closed end of each is configured to allow it to project beyond a respective end of the longitudinally compressible spring. The retraction-biased extension unit is adapted to be directly or indirectly connected to a railway brake hose and to a railway car component that is positioned above the hose on a railway car.
Abstract:
A tether for electronic devices employing a plug having a first end adapted for engagement to a tether and a second end formed on non-conductive material having an exterior surface with an exterior circumference adapted for frictional engagement with the interior circumference of an electrical socket. The second end can be formed of compressible material having an exterior circumference slightly larger than the socket for a biased engagement. An axial void can also be provided to accommodate projections in the socket or to engage an antenna.
Abstract:
A buckle formed of a male buckle member and a female buckle member for joining the ends of a cord member to form a hair binder is disclosed. Each buckle member has an internally threaded rear stub tube and a mounting ring suspended in the rear stub tube for the mounting of any of a variety of cord members.
Abstract:
A charm chain is comprised of an ornamental chain in a selected shape, multiple snaps and a lining band, snaps being respectively fixed to both ends of the ornamental chain and retain the lining band at the bottom of the ornamental chain for the charm chain to be adapted to a string bikini, a bra, a strap or any other accessories for ornamental purpose and safe use since the ornamental chain is prevented from directly contacting one's skin by means of the: lining band.
Abstract:
A clothing protective device which is particularly adapted to be worn by a man, woman or child, and which in particular will assist in the protection of clothing while dining or engaging in other activities which may stain clothes. In essence, the device is essentially in the form of a so-called napkin holder which can be readily transported in a clothing pocket or a purse.
Abstract:
A security chain particularly adapted for retaining a magnetically encoded card such as a casino complimentary card including a split ring, detachably coupled to one end of a ball chain with the other end of the ball chain detachable coupled to an alligator clip which can be clipped to the users clothing. The magnetically encoded card can be easily inserted over a right angle tab on the split ring and threaded onto the ring.
Abstract:
A mechanism for joining a chain end to a chain link utilizes a sliding link connected to a first link of the chain. The sliding link can be disengaged only by displacing it onto the straight portion of the first link and moving it forwardly to a second position. For connection, the sliding link is moved about the straight portion to a third position and is then moved upon engagement of a second chain link by an opposite displacement back to the locking position. Thus locking and unlocking is achieved only by two specific movements of the sliding link. Inadvertent unlocking is prevented by the shape and position of the sliding link.
Abstract:
This is a leather shoe tab for sewing on both the inside and outside of the vamp or quarter of a boot. The tab has one or more parallel essentially straight sided U-shaped cuts along the interior of the tab and completely therethrough. This makes one or more fingers and each finger has one or more eyelets therein. The ends of the finger having the eyelets can be pulled away from the plane of the tab so that hooks on ice chains can be placed therethrough, thus forming ice resistance chains across the sole.
Abstract:
A tire chain comprising two-spaced parallel side chains, a plurality of cross chains joining the side chains at spaced intervals, a plurality of spaced junction links in each side chain, wherein each junction link has areas of reduced thickness and a hook element on each end of each cross chain for connecting to one of the junction links. Each hook element consists of a bight and two-spaced hooks which are transverse to the plane of the bight having free ends which overlie the bight and which are spaced from the bight a distance which is less than the thickness of the junction link and greater than the thickness of the areas of reduced thickness to permit the entry of the junction link into the hooks of the hook element.
Abstract:
An improved iron guard is provided which includes a spaced pair of holding means such as clamps to releasably engage the sides of an ironing board, a flexible connecting means interconnecting the holding means and adapted to releasably engage the handle of an iron, resilient means such as a spring associated with the connecting means and holding means to tension the former and to releasably secure a heel bracket in tight engagement with the heel of an iron to hold the same securely in an upright position without danger of tipping over the iron. The bracket is secured to the connecting means, which may be a chain, cord or the like. The bracket is of special configuration to quickly and adequately engage the heel of an iron.
