Abstract:
To provide a biaxial hinge which enables an opening/closing movement of terminal, such as notebook PC, from 0° up to 180° or more, which ensures the opening/closing movement starting from a stable stopping position available at any opening/closing angle, a second hinge shaft attached to a second casing and a second hinge shaft attached to a second casing are connected to each other via a joint member and provided so as to be rotatable relative to each other, and a selective rotation restricting device is provided between the both hinge shafts. The selective rotation restricting device is so structured that it allows the both hinge shafts to rotate, when the first casing and the second casing are in a closed state, and it restricts one of the first hinge shaft and the second hinge shaft in rotation, when the other hinge shaft rotates relative to the one hinge shaft.
Abstract:
A casement window hinge protects against sash sag by providing a guide arm that substantially fills the space between the sash and the window frame when the window is closed. This space-filling guide arm may be produced with lightweight thermoplastic material whose pivoting connection to the sash arm may be strengthened through a wood screw providing an axis for the pivot that may be stabilized within the sash into which the screw is driven.
Abstract:
An electronic device and its biaxial pivot, the biaxial pivot comprises a connecting element, a first coupling element, a second coupling element and an elastic element. The connecting element has a first shaft and a second shaft, the first shaft and the second shaft have different axes. The first coupling element is connected to the first shaft pivotally and the second coupling element is connected to the second shaft pivotally. Two ends of the elastic element are fixed at the first coupling element and the second coupling element respectively.
Abstract:
A rotational hinge including a first casing linkage; a second casing linkage; a hinge linkage; and a synchronization linkage, wherein the synchronization linkage is coupled to the first casing linkage and the second casing linkage to synchronize a fixed rotational axis and a moving rotational axis that provides one or more degrees of rotation.
Abstract:
A control motion hinge, comprising a first leaf hinge with three knuckles to secure a first pin, wherein the two outer knuckles have roller knuckles, a link having a two knuckles on a first end to interlock with the first leaf hinge and a single knuckle on a second end, a second leaf hinge with two knuckles to secure a second pin when interlocked with the second end of the link, wherein the two knuckles of the second leaf hinge have a roller path for engaging the roller of the first leaf hinge, wherein such rollers traverse the roller path, and thus softly closing the door reducing the sound of closure during the final approach of the door.
Abstract:
The displacement device serves to hold a separation element, which is pivotally connected to a bracket, which is held slideably by a first beam of a scissor assembly and firmly by a second beam of the scissor assembly with a scissor assembly bearing. The scissor assembly bearing comprises a profile body that is adapted to the bracket and can be connected thereto, which profile body comprises a profile part which is connected articulated to the first end element of an adjusting lever, of which the second end element is connected on the one hand pivotally with the second beam and on the other hand is held by an adjusting bolt, of which the threaded shank is rotatably mounted in a threaded channel of the profile body.
Abstract:
In embodiments of double hinge radial cams, a portable device includes a first housing integrated with a display device, and a second housing movably coupled to the first housing. The first housing is operable to open and close relative to the second housing, and the first and second housings can be rotated from a closed position at approximately zero degrees (0°) to an open position at approximately one-hundred and eighty degrees (180°). A double hinge is operable to movably couple the first housing and the second housing. The double hinge includes radial cams that apply a holding torque in the open position that resists the first and second housings closing.
Abstract:
A transverse-positioning hinge has a seat, at least one elastic ball, a shaft and a fastening washer. The elastic ball is mounted in the seat. The shaft is mounted through the seat and has at least one positioning detent selectively engaging the elastic ball. The fastening washer is attached to the end of the shaft. Adjusting the tightness for attaching the fastening washer changes the deformation of the elastic ball, and then the resilient force provided by the elastic ball is also adjusted. Therefore, the positioning force provided by the elastic ball is adjustable without changing the elastic ball.
Abstract:
A two-axis hinge device includes a first-rotation-axis defining unit which defines a first rotation axis; a rotating arm fixed to a first housing, the rotating arm being provided on the first-rotation-axis defining unit such that the rotating arm is rotatable around the first rotation axis; a second-rotation-axis defining unit fixed to a second housing, the second-rotation-axis defining unit having a substantially cylindrical shape and defining a second rotation axis which is substantially perpendicular to the first rotation axis, the first-rotation-axis defining unit being fixed to and supported by the second-rotation-axis defining unit; and a hole-communicating connector fixed to the second-rotation-axis defining unit, the hole-communicating connector having a substantially cylindrical shape and being provided with a hole which communicates with a hole in the second-rotation-axis defining unit.
Abstract:
A portable device includes an upper unit, a lower unit having an operation section on an operation surface, and a movable connecting mechanism which connects the upper unit and the lower unit. The movable connecting mechanism includes a rotating hinge including a rotation axis which is securely and rotatably provided to the lower unit and which protrudes from the operation surface in a direction substantially normal to the operation surface, a projection protruding outward from the rotation axis, and a stopping member provided at a location where the projection comes in contact with the stopping member due to rotation of the rotation axis. The stopping member is movable within a predetermined range of movement due to the projection coming in contact with the stopping member.
