Abstract:
An auto-reversing driveshaft system/method configured to traverse in alternating longitudinal directions along a common driveshaft axis is disclosed. The system utilizes right-hand-thread (RHT) and left-hand-thread (LHT) channels along a target driveshaft (TDS) to engage dual drive pins (DDP) that are mechanically linked to an axial engagement collar (AEC) mechanically coupled to a motion driver platform (MDP). The AEC may be configured as a two-piece symmetric collar (TSC) in which the DDP are individually retained. The RHT and LHT are configured to implement a selected forward traverse rate (FTR) and reverse traverse rate (RTR) respectively for the DDP and AEC along the longitudinal axis of the TDS. The FTR and RTR may vary along the longitudinal axis of the TDS. The system and method are particularly applicable to the implementation of level winders, pumps, and/or situations where variable longitudinal traversal rates along the TDS are desired.
Abstract:
A flow path switching valve is disclosed that can be operated remotely simply by turning flow on and off. A mid portion of the body has at least one passage therein leading from a central axial bore to one or more external ports each having a tractor nozzle. The valve outlet connects the axial bore to a cleaning nozzle. A poppet member is received in the central axial bore. In a first position, the poppet member directs fluid flow through the outlet to the cleaning nozzle connected to the outlet. The poppet member, when in a second position, closes the central axial bore through the outlet end of the valve body and permits fluid flow through the tractor nozzles. Selection of the different flow paths is made by simply reducing flow through the valve below a predetermined fluid flow threshold and then increasing the flow rate above the threshold.

Abstract:
A fluid divider valve includes a housing defining a longitudinal bore having a fluid inlet. The housing defines a plurality of outlets in fluid communication with the longitudinal bore. A valve shaft is sealingly engaged within the longitudinal bore of the housing. The valve shaft has an internal longitudinal flow passage in fluid communication with the fluid inlet of the housing. The valve shaft has a plurality of radial fluid ports formed therein which extend from the internal longitudinal flow passage to an exterior portion of the valve shaft. The valve shaft is mounted for movement relative to the housing between a first position in which the valve shaft permits fluid communication between the fluid inlet and each of the outlets simultaneously through the radial fluid ports of the valve shaft, and a second position in which the valve shaft prevents fluid communication between the fluid inlet and the outlets.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an exhaust machine which includes a first exhaust tube, a second exhaust tube, a first closed box, a second closed box, a pipe and a motor. The first exhaust tube is connected to the first closed box and the second exhaust tube is connected to the second closed box. The pipe penetrates the first closed box and the second closed box and connects to an exhaust gas source. The pipe includes a first inner opening and a second inner opening. The motor connects to the pipe and drives the pipe to make the exhaust gas pass into the first closed box through the first inner opening or into the second closed box through the second inner opening.
Abstract:
A seal assembly for reception of an elongated surgical instrument is provided which includes a body having at least one opening configured and dimensioned to permit entry of an elongated surgical instrument and defining a central longitudinal axis; a seal member formed of a resilient material and defining an aperture therein, the aperture being configured and dimensioned such that insertion of the surgical instrument into the aperture causes the resilient material defining the aperture to resiliently contact the outer surface of the surgical instrument in a substantially fluid tight manner; and a fabric layer juxtaposed relative to the resilient material. A coating may be applied to the seal member to reduce friction between the seal member and surgical instrumentation inserted therein. The coating is preferably a hydrocyclosiloxane membrane prepared by plasma polymerization process.

Abstract:
A subsea fitting is disclosed. The subsea fitting includes a body. The fitting includes at least two passages through the body. The passages are in fluid communication within the body. A diverter is located in at least one of the passages. The diverter may be movable between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the diverter allows open flow between two of the passages. In the closed position, the diverter inhibits flow between the two passages.
Abstract:
The invention provides a switching device for an irrigation system. The switching device provides selective communication between a supply port to which a supply of fluid under pressure can be attached and a balloon port to which a fixing balloon of a catheter can be attached, and between the supply port and a port to which a liquid reservoir can be attached. By use of a selection handle, the user can deform conduits in a pre-determined sequence and thus control an irrigation procedure by opening and closing fluid flow in various conduits. The invention further provides an irrigation device incorporating the switching device and a method of controlling a fluid flow e.g. in an irrigation system.
