    摘要： A method of producing a packing product includes the steps of feeding at least one sheet of material in a first direction; cutting the at least one sheet of material into a plurality of strips; the cutting being performed by rotating two sets of alternating, overlapping cutting discs; the feeding of the at least one sheet of material being between the two sets of cutting discs; advancing each of the strips by the rotating of at least an outer surface of a corresponding one of the cutting discs as the outer surface moves in the first direction; restricting each strip from continued advancing in the first direction; and sequentially folding each of the strip means by the restricting in opposition to the advancing. There is included apparatus and means for producing the packing product. Additionally, the resulting packing product includes a plurality of narrow, elongated strips of material; the material having a natural resilience; and each of the strips including a plurality of transverse folds against the natural resilience to form a longitudinally compressed strip element.

    摘要： The invention relates to a drywall corner bead spreader device. The device comprises a stationary support portion and a movable pressure applying portion. When a length of drywall corner bead is placed on the stationary support portion with its flanges facing upwardly adjustment of the movable pressure applying portion into contact with the flanges will force the flanges to assume an included angle greater than its normal ninety degree orientation. The movable pressure applying portion includes a freely rotating spreader ball which will rotate as the corner bead is pulled from beneath the spreader ball resulting in reduced friction and providing a uniform included angle to the flanges in excess of ninety degrees.

    摘要： A method of producing a hand-hewn look in a false wood beam. The beam is formed from a planar laminate composed of a foam core sandwiched between an outer cover and an inner multiply paper backing. The laminate is rolled along its length, with the outer cover on the outside of the roll, to produce creases in the laminate along irregular, longitudinally spaced lines. These creases create irregular surface facets which, with the laminate unrolled, appear as irregular cutting planes in the laminate's outer cover.

    摘要： Improved embodiments of a blank for a dunnage plug which fills gaps between cargo and a side wall of a vessel or vehicle in which the cargo or lading is transported include a single sheet, preferably of corrugated cardboard, having cuts or slits, slots, perforations and bends positioned thereon for allowing portions of the sheet to be folded into a plurality of channels which intersect perpendicularly and interlock in a plurality of half cross-lap-joints to provide an extremely inexpensive structure having a designated thickness and being capable of withstanding substantial loads in compression without failure. Since the improved dunnage plug blank of the invention is assembled and disassembled without separation of the sheet into more than one piece, there is no tendency for portions of the dunnage plug to become lost at any time. Further, if the dunnage plug is disassembled it folds back into a single flat sheet for efficient storage. In use, the improved dunnage plug is adapted to be affixed to either a sidewall of the transporting vessel or vehicle, or a sidewall of the cargo.

    摘要： Bags, primarily for liquid or other flowable products, are formed from sheet plastics material to define a generally rectangular container closed at one end and with a filling and discharging arrangement at the other end. The bags are formed from an outer sheet 10 and an inner sheet 11, the outer sheet extending the full length of the bag whereas the inner sheet extends only part way along the bag. The outer sheet defines pockets 15 which act as the corners of the rectangle and the inner sheet extends across the corners of the rectangle and is connected to the outer sheet adjacent the edges of the pockets. The bag is made by feeding the two sheets of material onto a table, the outer sheet 10 lying below the inner sheet 11. The outer sheet is drawn down to form the pockets 15 at spaced locations along the table. The inner sheet is then welded to the outer sheet at 18, 19 adjacent the edges of the pockets. The ends of the inner and outer sheets are then drawn over, overlapped and connected together to form a tube and one end of the tube is closed after the bag is filled.
