A control signal for remote control is transmitted to the video camera via a network, and an adjusted image is acquired in which an adjustment corresponding to the control signal is made on a captured image captured by the video camera. A reverse adjustment to the adjustment corresponding to the control signal is made on the acquired adjusted image to restore the captured image, and an adjustment corresponding to a real-time control signal is made on the restored captured image. This can be applied to remote control of the video camera via the network.
