Abstract: The present technology relates to an imaging device and an electronic device that enable construction of an imaging device that outputs information required by a user with a small size. A single-chip imaging device includes: an imaging unit in which a plurality of pixels is arranged two-dimensionally and that captures an image; a signal processing unit that performs signal processing using a captured image output from the imaging unit; an output I/F that outputs a signal processing result of the signal processing and the captured image to an outside; and an output control unit that performs output control of selectively outputting the signal processing result of the signal processing and the captured image from the output I/F to the outside. The present technology can be applied to, for example, an imaging device that captures an image.

Abstract: A vehicular camera module includes a main circuit board and an imager circuit board having an imager disposed thereat. A lens barrel accommodating a lens is at least partially disposed in a passageway of a lens holder. The vehicular camera module includes a housing having an upper cover and a lower cover that are joined together. Electronic circuitry disposed at a main printed circuit board of the main circuit board includes an image processor. The electronic circuitry disposed at the main printed circuit board of the main circuit board includes an image processor. With the imager operated to capture image data, captured image data is provided via a flexible ribbon cable to the electronic circuitry disposed at the main printed circuit board of the main circuit board. The imager is disposed within a rear portion of the housing and is not accommodated within a front portion of the housing.

Abstract: Examples are described for applying different settings for image capture to different portions of image data. For example, an image sensor can capture image data of a scene and can send the image data to an image signal processor (ISP) and a classification engine for processing. The classification engine can determine that a first object image region depicts a first category of object, and a second object image region depicts a second category of object. Different confidence regions of the image data can identify different degrees of confidence in the classifications. The ISP can generate an image by applying a different settings to the different portions of the image data. The different portions of the image data can be identified based on the object image regions and confidence regions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating and processing images captured while inspecting above-ground pipelines are disclosed. Embodiments may include a robotic crawler or other devices which carry imaging equipment and traverse a target pipe which are configured to capture image data simultaneously from a plurality of angles. Such systems may substantially reduce and in some cases overcome the need to take multiple traversals of a pipeline under inspection. Embodiments may also be directed toward control systems for such devices as well as image processing systems which process the multiple image sets to produce a composite imaging result.
