System, method, and computer program product to provide targeted and variable information during a remote conference, by: responsive to a first person joining the remote conference, playing a first tone having a first acoustical characteristic indicating an arrival of the first person, responsive to a second person joining the remote conference, playing a second tone having a second acoustical characteristic indicating an arrival of the second person, the second acoustical characteristic different than the first, and responsive to one of the first person and the second person leaving the remote conference, playing a third tone having a third acoustical characteristic indicating a departure of one of the first person and the second person, the third acoustical characteristic different than the second, a type of the first, second, and third acoustical characteristics being the same, the first, second, and third tone audible to at least one person on the remote conference.

An electronic circuit includes a first variable gain amplifier for amplifying a signal at an input to provide a first amplified signal; a filter receiving the first amplified signal to provide a filtered signal; a second variable gain amplifier for receiving and amplifying the filtered signal; a second gain control bock, to provide at least one gain control signal derived from the filtered signal, one of the at least one gain control signal to control the gain of the second variable gain amplifier; and a bounding block for receiving one of the at least one gain control signal from the second gain control block, and for generating therefrom a bounded gain control signal to control gain of the first variable gain amplifier.
Abstract:
A method is described for simulating the f-sigma timing path delay of an integrated circuit design when local transistor variations determine the stochastic delay. This is achieved by determining an estimated delay time for a first timing path using non-linear operating point analysis of local variations (NLOPALV). An operating point is calculated for each cell that is included in a timing path in the integrated circuit design. The f-sigma operating point of a cell-arc is a point on the cell-arc delay function (CADF). An f-sigma delay value is determined for each cell using the selected operating point on the CADF of the cell. The determined delay values of the plurality of cells in the timing path may then be combined to predict the estimated delay for the entire timing path. The method may be extended to deal with slew rate, predict hold time statistics, prune paths, and deal with convergent paths.

An acoustic processing system for an electronic device includes: an equalizer processor which boosts or cuts a digital signal which has been subjected to an acoustic process for each of frequency components; a low-pass filter which extracts a low-range signal from the signal from the equalizer processor and outputs the signal; a high-pass filter which extracts a high-range signal from the signal from the equalizer processor and outputs the signal; a high-frequency compressor which compresses the high-range signal; an adder which generates an addition of the low-range signal and the compressed high-range signal; and a speaker which outputs a sound in accordance with the addition of the signal.

An audio processor (1) includes a first filter coefficient calculator (31) that calculates a first filter coefficient so as to correspond to first gains for respective bands set by a user, a second filter coefficient calculator (32) that if values of third gains for respective bands of the first filter coefficient are greater than an absolute value of a second gain set by the user, calculates a second filter coefficient by limiting the values of the third gains for the respective bands to the amplitude value of the second gain, and a filtering unit (35) that filters an audio signal that has been transformed into a frequency-domain signal, using the second filter coefficient.

A system for processing compressed audio includes a signal enhancer module configured to generate one or more signal treatments. The one or more signal treatments may be generated by the signal enhancer module based on analysis of the incoming audio signal. Alternatively, or in addition, characteristics of the incoming audio signal may be provided to the signal enhancer module for use in generating the one or more signal treatments. The one or more signal treatments may be added to file audio signals.
