    摘要: Methods and systems of optimizing efficiency of a motor drive or generator are provided. The methods include measuring data corresponding to input power and output power of a motor drive or generator at a control parameter and different load values. The methods include generating a three-dimensional surface model based on the measured data. The three-dimensional surface model can estimate an efficiency of the motor drive or generator at the control parameter and at unmeasured load values. The methods can include determining optimal efficiency of the motor drive or generator at the different load values and the unmeasured load values based on the three-dimensional surface model.

    摘要: A system and method for controlling an AC motor drive includes a control system programmed with an algorithm configured to optimize operation of the motor drive. Specifically, the control system is programmed to input an initial voltage-frequency command to the drive. The initial voltage-frequency command includes a voltage reference and a frequency reference corresponding to an operating point of an initial voltage/frequency (V/Hz) curve. The control system monitors a real-time output of the drive, modifies the voltage reference based on the real-time output of the drive, and transmits a modified voltage-frequency command to the drive. The modified voltage-frequency command corresponds to an operating point of a modified V/Hz curve defined by the modified voltage reference and the initial V/Hz curve.

    摘要: A device for improving efficiency of an induction motor soft-starts the motor by applying a power to the motor that is substantially less than the rated power of the motor then gradually increasing the power while monitoring changes in current drawn by the motor, thereby detecting when maximum efficiency is found. Once maximum efficiency is found, the nominal motor current is found and operating ranges are set. Now, the phase angle between the voltage and the current to the motor is measured and power to the motor is increasing when the phase angle is less than a minimum phase angle (determined during soft-start) and power to the motor is decreased when the phase angle is greater than or equal to the minimum phase angle as long as the voltage does not fall below a minimum voltage determined during soft-start.

    摘要: A motor control apparatus and a motor control method determine whether the motor is in a back-pressure area so as to provide different rotation-speed control signals. When the fan is in the low duty cycle, a first circuit loop is switched on, so that the fan has more accurate rotation speed. When the fan is in the high duty cycle, a second circuit loop is switched on, so that the rotation speed of fan does not be limited to a constant rotation-speed as the fan enters the back-pressure area. Thus, the fan has larger airflow quantity and higher airflow pressure.
