    Abstract: A grounding clamp includes a plate having a first and second opposite longitudinal edges extending in a first direction, and first and second opposite transverse edges extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal edges in a second direction. First and second cable fastening region extend along the first and second transeverse edges, respectively, and are configured to fasten and electrically contact first and second cables to the plate, respectively. An opening is arranged between the cable fastening regions for inserting a fastener. An arm extends from the first or second longitudinal edge in the second direction so that the arm runs parallel to the first and/or second cable fastening region. A tab extends at a free end of the arm parallel to the first and/or second longitudinal edge and perpendicularly to a plane of the plate in a direction of an underside of the plate.

    Abstract: A battery post terminal assembly includes a conductive band and a clamp mechanism. The conductive band includes a first free end and a second free end. The conductive band defines an aperture for receiving a battery post of a battery. The clamp mechanism includes a wedge member that defines a recess between a first surface and a second surface thereof. The recess has an open end and a closed end that is narrower than the open end. The first surface is convex. The first free end and the second free end are positioned in the recess. The first free end is movable along the first surface toward the closed end to be moved by the first surface toward the second free end to tighten the conductive band around the battery post.

    Abstract: A dry power cable termination has an insulation sleeve, a silicone rubber tube and a stress control cone. The insulation sleeve has an inlet and an outlet opposite to the inlet. The silicone rubber tube is disposed over an exterior of the insulation sleeve; and the stress control cone is received within the insulation sleeve. A power cable is inserted from the inlet of the insulation sleeve and extends out from the outlet of the insulation sleeve. The stress control cone is fitted over the power cable so as to prevent a local electric field concentration from occurring at a cutting end surface.The dry power cable termination furthermore has a shielding sleeve, an electrode, an electric connection assembly and a clamping pipe. The shielding sleeve is received within the insulation sleeve and fitted over an exposed segment of an insulation layer of the power cable. The electrode is received within the insulation sleeve and is electrically connected to a first end of the shielding sleeve, so as to prevent a local electric field concentration from occurring at the first end of the shielding sleeve. The electric connection assembly is received within the insulation sleeve and used to electrically connect a second end of the shielding sleeve opposite to the first end to an exposed segment of a conductor core of the power cable and the clamping pipe is clamped over the conductor core of the power cable.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a plug connector for a high current device, intended to be placed in particular in the engine compartment of a motor vehicle. A device such as a printed circuit board housed in the plug connector is connected to a cable via at least one rigid conductive metal bar (bus bar). A ring is interposed between the rigid conductive metal bar and a terminal electrically connected to the cable. A bolt holds the terminal, the ring and the bus bar clamped together. To ensure the seal of the plug connector at the bolt, a first ring seal is placed between the ring and an unthreaded zone of the shank of the bolt, and a second seal is placed between the ring and the plug connector.

    Abstract: A connecting terminal and a circuit breaking device having the connecting terminal are provided. A plate-shaped second bus-bar 19 welded to a conductive thermit casing 26 through a low melting point metal 23. The bus-bar 19 has an orifice 20 formed to fix a wire with a terminal body by thread fastening and a thin part 51 formed between the orifice 20 and the metal 23 to have a plate thickness smaller than that of the other portion of the bus-bar 19. The thin part 51 is provided with wedge-shaped notches 53. When fastening a screw inserted into the orifice 20 in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, a stress resulting from the rotation is absorbed by the thin plate 51 and the notches 53 in pairs. Consequently, owing to the absorption, it is possible to restrict the stress from being transmitted to the welding part of the low melting point metal 23.

    Abstract: A tubular anode includes an electrical connector formed of a diagonally split two-part generally cylindrical slug. The diagonal slit provides an elliptical wedge interface between the two parts and a jack screw is threaded in one part and extends through an enlarged hole in the other. Tightening the jack screw within the tube causes the two parts to offset and wedge against the inside of the tube. The two parts include an aligned slot which interests the major axis of the elliptical interface and a lead wire or cable is electrically secured to one of the parts within its slot. The slot is configured to press the lead or cable against the interior of the tube. The lead wire for a string anode extends through the slot of the other part. In the formation of an anode string the tubular anodes are threaded onto unspooled insulated wire or cable, a short portion of the insulation is removed at each connector location, and with the tubular anode offset, a connector is secured to the bare wire. The tube is threaded over the connector and the connector locked in place. The connector may be encapsulated by filling the interior with a potting compound or sealant. The connector and process is particularly useful with relatively small diameter titanium, niobium or tantalum tubular anodes.
