    摘要: A multi-panel antenna system may be disassembled and packaged into a container with substantially smaller dimensions than the assembled antenna system. The antenna system may include two or more reflector panels, such that a respective reflector panel can include a curved surface that may form a portion of a parabolic reflector, and can include an inter-panel fastener operable to align a side surface of the respective reflector panel with a side surface of another reflector panel. The antenna system may also include a mounting assembly that may be used to fasten a convex side of the two or more reflector panels to a surface external to the antenna system, and a feed assembly that may be attached to the mounting assembly.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for a reconfigurable faceted reflector for producing a plurality of antenna patterns. The reconfigurable reflector includes a backing structure, a plurality of adjusting mechanisms mounted to the backing structure, and a plurality of reflector facets. Each of the plurality of reflector facets is coupled to a respective one of the plurality of adjusting mechanisms for adjusting the position of the reflector facet with which it is coupled. The reflector facets are arranged to produce a first antenna pattern of the plurality of antenna patterns. By adjusting the plurality of adjusting mechanisms, the position of each of the reflector facets coupled to the respective one of the plurality of adjusting mechanisms is adjusted so that the reflector facets are arranged to produce a second antenna pattern of the plurality of antenna patterns.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a circularly polarized directional helical antenna that is capable of being used in RFID devices and more particularly in RFID readers. The antenna is intended to transmit or receive signals in a predetermined frequency band, λ being the wavelength associated with the minimum frequency of the predetermined frequency band. It includes a helicoidal radiating element made of conductive material extending along a longitudinal axis (A) and the axial length (H) of which is less than the wavelength λ, and a cavity made of conductive material having an open end and a closed end and having an axis of symmetry that coincides with the longitudinal axis of the radiating element, at least one lower portion of the radiating element being arranged inside the cavity so that its lower end is in contact with the closed end of the cavity.

    摘要: An improved support rib for a satellite dish antenna is disclosed wherein a male side rib selectively engages a female side rib continuously along the longitudinal length of the support rib and wherein the male and female side rib each comprises a continuous engagement device having a lower channel for selectively receiving the side of a parabolic reflective petal and an upper member for one-time flexing downwardly over the lower channel to firmly engage and hold the side of the reflective petal continuously along the longitudinal length of the support rib. When flexed downwardly, the upper member lies in the same plane as the support rib and the petal.

    摘要: An apparatus is provided that includes: a multi-element reflector, each element comprising a concave reflective surface, the curvature of each element and focal distance of each element being common, the concave reflective surface of each element being configured to steer a radio-frequency beam in a different direction to that of the other elements; and a directional antenna feed, configurable to direct a beam towards each element of the multi-element reflector and positionable to be concurrently spaced said common focal distance from all of the elements of the multi-element reflector. One or more mechanisms are also provided by which, for example, a commercially viable millimeter wave base station can be realised. In particular, antenna arrangements are provided which support a field of view which facilitates establishment and maintenance of an effective communication link between a base station and a user with a desired level of reliability.
