    摘要: A method of manufacturing a phosphor screen of a cathode ray tube for reducing required manufacturing process operations and time in comparison with a well-known slurry process, and preventing generation of noise due to smear of index stripes in a beam index type cathode ray tube. The method includes forming black matrix layers on a panel, transferring G color layers to the panel by scanning laser beams to a first transfer film having the G color layers as a transfer layer, transferring B color layers to the panel by scanning laser beams to a second transfer film having the B color layer as a transfer layer, transferring R color layers to the panel by scanning laser beams to a third transfer film having the G color layer as a transfer layer, forming an organic layer and an aluminum reflection layer on the whole surface of the panel, and removing the organic material by carrying out a baking process with relation to the panel.

    摘要: A screen for a beam index tube includes a fluorescent surface having a pattern of color stripes respectively producing red, green, and blue light in unit areas within the stripes in response to an incident electron beam and index unit areas regularly arranged in the pattern, the color stripes being arranged side-by-side and along a vertical direction with color unit areas of vertical stripes being in registration along a horizontal direction, each color unit area being spaced in the horizontal and vertical directions from the nearest color unit area by one unit area, and the index unit areas being disposed among the color unit areas and spaced from the nearest index unit area by three unit areas in the horizontal direction and one unit area in the vertical direction. A beam index tube may include the screen in combination with a tube assembly and an electron gun. Since the index unit areas are not spaced from nearest color unit areas, vertical deflection correction of the electron beam is not required and can be omitted. Thus, the picture quality produced is not adversely affected by the earth's magnetic field and manufacturing costs are reduced by avoiding the elements needed for the vertical deflection correction.

    摘要: A multiple color imaging device such as a beam index CRT (FIG. 3a/b), with red, green and blue phosphor stripes arranged in triplets each defining one color image pixel in the line scan direction having at least the red and green phosphor stripes coated with an electrically insulating barrier layer 38 on which is formed a thin layer 39 of blue emitting phosphor. In color display mode the beam energy is sufficient to penetrate the barrier layer and excite the principal stripe phosphor to give the desired color emission but also excites the blue phosphor, blue emissions being perceived at lower luminance than the red and not detrimental to perceived color purity. In monochrome mode the beam energy is reduced to excite only the blue phosphor. As each stripe is able to emit blue when excited the image resolution for monochrome is increased from color triplet dimensions to individual stripe dimensions or better. The low level of blue emissions is suitable, and preferred, for night viewing of FLIR images, particularly with night vision goggles. Individual phosphor grains may be given a skin of the monochrome phosphor (FIG. 4) or it may be mixed with the principal phosphor without a barrier but with a red/green filter in front of the screen for monochrome operation (FIG. 2).

    摘要: A cathode ray tube gun structure for minor deflection of an electron beam and employing electrostatic beam deflecting electrodes ultimately controlled by a deflection signal at a low voltage level for minor deflection of the beam. The minor beam deflection electrodes may be positioned in the low beam potential focus region of the gun to provide for minor deflection of the beam.     摘要: A single gun color cathode ray tube (CRT) having a screen consisting of alternating red, blue and green vertical phosphor strips in groups of three, with strips of conductive or photovoltaic material overlaying each phosphor strip, or placed between adjacent strips. The same color conductive strips are connected in parallel in three arrays, and connected to three individual trigger buses. The conductive lines are connected to a positive bias voltage such that when the electron beam within the CRT strikes a conductive strip, a pulse is generated and fed to the corresponding trigger bus. As the single electron beam scans the screen, trigger pulses are generated in the conductive strips and are fed to a trigger pulse amplifier and then to a multiplexer and used as control signals. The multiplexer in turn gates the color video signals from a remote source, such as a workstation or television set, such that the corresponding video signal for that color is modulating the beam as the electron beam strikes a phosphor strip corresponding to that color.
