    摘要: A Dynamic Color Separation (DCS) color display system employs signals which provide timing, luminance, and chrominance information of the display output. The display system includes a timing circuit which produces unique signals for correcting errors produced when hue is controlled by the phase of the (S) signal and the degree of saturation with its amplitude. The signals may be applied to known CRT beam guns, and modified guns specific to the generated signals are also disclosed.

    摘要: A dynamic color separation display CRT having an electron beam forming structure for beam generation and electrostatic impingement control. The electron gun forms a group of electron beams and includes a multi-aperture G1 grid for receiving the electron beam group. The group of electron beams overlap and combine to provide an impingement pattern that matches a primary color stripe without use of a shadow mask when focused on the output screen surface. An alternate preferred embodiment includes a grooved cathode to control the size, shape, and profile of the emitted beam.

    摘要: Apparatus for reproducing characters from cathode ray tubes wherein a beam is deflected onto alpha/numeric characters occupying a selected area of a font. The beam is deflected by relatively high speed linear vertical strokes which are displaced horizontally by a slower speed stroke advance waveform and each scan is positioned relative to one of the selected areas. The vertical linear strokes of the beam are at a variable rate and the vertical strokes are terminated by time interval pulses at an amplitude corresponding to the area height of the font character. The rate of the strokes is determined by the time interval pulses which in turn are regulated by point size control selection means. A resultant two level output signal representative of the successive selected characters controls another cathode ray tube, the scanning of which is identical to that of the first cathode ray tube. The deflection of the beam in the second cathode ray tube is at a constant rate and the intervals of the strokes in the scanning of the second cathode ray tube are also controlled by the time interval pulses.

    摘要: Several substantially circular deflection yoke structures for cathode-ray tubes are disclosed. Their common principal characteristics include means whereby the features of orthogonal (x, y) deflection axes are identical. This results in symmetry about the diagonal (45*) deflection positions as well as about the deflection axes. These structures each employ eight identical toroidally wound coil segments. Four coils, symmetrically placed on both sides of the x-axis, provide x-axis deflection. Four coils similarly located with respect to the y-axis provide y-axis deflection. Each coil occupies a 45* segment from its axis outwardly along an annular core piece.

    摘要: A color camera including a first image pickup cathode-ray tube for developing a signal representative of the brightness or luminance content of an image, and a second such cathode-ray tube generating a signal representative of chrominance content of the image. Scanning of the two cathode-ray tubes is synchronized and registered with respect to boundary regions in the target of one of the tubes. The boundary regions may be provided through the use of adjacent strips of illuminated and nonilluminated areas of the target. The two tubes typically focus on a scene through lens systems mechanically and/or optically coupled together. A scanning adjustment is made in accordance with view angle shift between the cathode-ray tubes in order to correct for distortion. The cathode-ray tube for generating chrominance signal components may employ a cylindrical lens structure on its faceplate in conjunction with dichroic mirror or other color separation elements to divide all portions of the image into at least two of the three primary colors red, green and blue through all areas of the cathode-ray tube target. Scanning in this cathode-ray tube is by steplike motion with the beam dwelling in each color area as it scans across the tube target.

    摘要: A cathode ray tube gun structure for minor deflection of an electron beam and employing electrostatic beam deflecting electrodes ultimately controlled by a deflection signal at a low voltage level for minor deflection of the beam. The minor beam deflection electrodes may be positioned in the low beam potential focus region of the gun to provide for minor deflection of the beam.
