摘要: A capacitor is provided with a case having a receptacle with an expandable section that allows the receptacle to extend axially when internal pressure builds within the case as a result of a fault. Terminals are mounted on the cover and electrically connected to the electrodes of a capacitor element through an interrupter plate, via leads. The plate is attached to the section of the case that extends under pressure, whereby the plate is drawn away from the cover, thereby breaking the electrical connections to the terminal. The plate may also work in conjunction with a cover that expands outward in response to internal pressure, to provide a second pressure interrupter mechanism.

摘要: The present invention relates to an intelligent switch capacitor, which comprises a shell. The shell is provided with a capacitor core internally. A temperature sensor is arranged on the capacitor core. A top end of the capacitor core is connected to an intelligent switch wiring board. The intelligent switch wiring board is connected to a single chip computer, a capacity-switch, a temperature measurement module, a current measurement module and a current harmonic component measurement module, wherein the capacitor switch is connected to the capacitor core in an inner triangle way. Beneficial effects of the present invention are: 1. A switch and a power capacitor are integrated into a whole, which can implement quick capacity-switching and cutting of the switch; 2. The capacitor has an electronic thermal protection function; 3. Possibilities of capacitor damages and power grid accidents caused by resonance of a PFC capacitor in a power grid system are eliminated completely; 4. A power capacitor loss is reduced.

摘要: A capacitor having a large current carrying capacity includes a hollow core formed by a non-conducting tubular section, and a capacitor winding wrapped around the tubular section. A thermal cutoff device is disposed within the hollow core. The thermal cutoff device is configured to sense a predetermined temperature level within the hollow core and disable the current carrying capacity of the capacitor. The thermal cutoff device is disposed at a geometric center of the capacitor winding, which is also the hot spot of the capacitor winding. The thermal cutoff device includes first and second conductors electrically connected to each other with a predetermined solder alloy. The first conductor includes a cross-sectional portion that is attached to the second conductor. The cross-sectional portion is subjected to a springing force in a lateral direction away from the second conductor. Upon melting of the solder alloy, the springing force moves the cross-sectional portion away from the second conductor, thereby disabling the current carrying capacity of the capacitor.

摘要: A diagnostic device and method diagnoses damage to a breaker that interrupts a current of an energy storage device. The damage to the breaker is diagnosed on the basis of a short-circuit current at a time of an external short circuit. The damage to the breaker can also be diagnosed on a basis of a short-circuit current during a first time from detection to interruption of a short circuit, and a short-circuit current during a second time from the interruption to convergence of the short-circuit current. An energy storage apparatus can include the diagnostic device.

摘要: The present invention relates to an intelligent switch capacitor, which comprises a shell. The shell is provided with a capacitor core internally. 摘要: A method that employs a novel combination of conventional fabrication techniques provides a ceramic short-resistant capacitor that is bendable and/or shapeable to provide a multiple layer capacitor that is extremely compact and amenable to desirable geometries. The method allows thinner and more flexible ceramic capacitors to be made. The method includes forming a first thin metal layer on a substrate; depositing a thin, ceramic dielectric layer over the metal layer; depositing a second thin metal layer over the dielectric layer to form a capacitor exhibiting a benign failure mode; and separating the capacitor from the substrate.

摘要: A current interruption device includes a conductive plate and a first deformable plate. The conductive plate includes a center portion and a peripheral portion surrounding the center portion. An upper surface of the center portion is formed in a planar shape spreading in a first direction and a second direction orthogonal thereto in a conductive state. The peripheral portion includes an inclined portion extending outward from a boundary between the center portion and the peripheral portion. An upper surface of the inclined portion is inclined so as to increase a distance to the first deformable plate as the upper surface of the inclined portion becomes farther away from the center portion when the conductive plate and the first deformable plate are viewed along the first direction or the second direction in the conductive state.
