摘要: A protective device to be integrated into a high-voltage cable of a high-voltage on-board power supply includes a cut-out for interrupting at least one electrical conductor of the high-voltage cable in a fault scenario, a shielding element for forming a cable shield with a shielding conductor of the high-voltage cable, and a housing to be arranged between two high-voltage-cable sections of the high-voltage cable. In the housing, the cut-out and the shielding element are arranged, and the housing has contacts for connecting the cut-out to conductor sections of the at least one conductor and for connecting the shielding element to shielding-conductor sections of the shielding conductor. At least a part of the housing is capable of being non-destructively detached from the high-voltage-cable sections, in order to enable an exchange of at least the cut-out in the case of a defect of the cut-out.

摘要: An improved electric cable is disclosed herein. The resistance of the electric cable of the present disclosure is surprisingly decreased despite a reduction in the cross-sectional area of the conductor when at least one metal slug is positioned at an end of the cable. Conductor wires, which may or may not be individually insulated, may extend around a metal slug or through an aperture of the slug. In combination with at least one metal slug, the cross-sectional area of individual wires or the amount of wires within a stranded wire cable may be substantially reduced without seeing an expected proportionate increase in electrical resistance, and surprisingly, a decrease in resistance may be observed.

摘要: A conductor shielding termination assembly can include a housing tube defining an inner diameter housing channel therethrough. The housing tube can be made of conductive material. The assembly can include a shoulder bushing configured to insert within the inner diameter housing channel of the housing tube. The shoulder bushing can define an inner diameter bushing channel sized to receive an unshielded portion of a conductor. The assembly can include a clamping assembly configured to clamp around the housing tube and/or the conductor to axially lock the housing tube and the conductor and to trap a shielding termination between the housing tube and the clamping assembly. The clamping assembly can form a clamping inner diameter channel sized to receive a shielded portion of the conductor.

摘要: A shielded electrical cable includes conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and include cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the films in combination substantially surround each conductor set. An adhesive layer bonds the shielding films together in the pinched portions of the cable. A transverse bending of the cable at a cable location of no more than 180 degrees over an inner radius of at most 2 mm causes a cable impedance of the selected insulated conductor proximate the cable location to vary by no more than 2 percent from an initial cable impedance measured at the cable location in an unbent configuration.

摘要: A Metal-Clad (MC) cable assembly includes a core having a plurality of power conductors cabled with a subassembly, each of the plurality of power conductors and the subassembly including an electrical conductor, a layer of insulation, and a jacket layer. The MC cable assembly further includes an assembly jacket layer disposed over the subassembly, and a metal sheath disposed over the core. In one approach, the subassembly is a cabled set of conductors (e.g., twisted pair) operating as class 2 or class 3 circuit conductors in accordance with Article 725 of the National Electrical Code®. In another approach, the MC cable assembly includes a protective layer disposed around the jacket layer of one or more of the plurality of power conductors and the subassembly. In yet another approach, a bonding/grounding conductor is cabled with the plurality of power conductors and the subassembly.
