    摘要: A library manager to determine a relay-point library string when a particular cartridge (specific cartridge) is moved to an empty drive (target drive) for mounting. A method for determining a relay-point library string includes: receiving a command to mount a cartridge in a library string located on one side of the relay-point library string; searching for the target drive among library strings, and finding the target drive in a library string on the other side of an interposed relay-point library string relative to the library string in which the specific cartridge is located; selecting a relay-point library string based on predetermined conditions to move the specific cartridge using shuttle connections to the found target drive; and searching to determine whether or there is a newly available drive in a relay-point library string other than the selected relay-point library string before the selected cartridge reaches the selected relay-point library string.

A determination is made as to whether a current location of the magnetic tape is at a block at a beginning of tape. Execution of the write command is disallowed when the data corresponding to the write command is not of the specified size and/or type.

    摘要: Provided is a method of removing a cartridge, that is to be removed, that is housed in a deep side of a cell and stuck on a wall surface of the cell without increasing the number of components. In order to remove the cartridge stuck on the wall surface of the cell, the method includes a pressing step and a releasing step. In the pressing step, a picker mechanism is abutted on a latch lever, and then moved so as to move the latch lever from an engaged position to a released position. This presses the latch lever to increase the urging force of the urging unit. In the releasing step, after the pressing step, the picker mechanism is moved away from the cell to release the urging force of the latch lever spring.

    摘要: A media cartridge autoloader is disclosed which includes a main module including a media cartridge picker that pulls in a media cartridge via a mail slot and ejects the media cartridge via the mail slot. A media drive selectively receives the media cartridge. First and second media cartridge transport magazines transportably store the media cartridge. The main module further includes a stopper mechanism that inhibits the media cartridge from being fully reinserted when inserting the media cartridge is attempted in a state where the media cartridge has been ejected so as to at least partially protrude outside of the mail slot. The stopper mechanism contacts a lower part of a rear side of the media cartridge to stop the media cartridge in a state where a front side of the media cartridge is at least partially ejected through the mail slot.

The turntable is provided with a media cartridge stopper member that stops the media cartridge inserted manually from the mail slot.
