    摘要： A cartridge locking mechanism for a tape player having a tunnel for receiving a tape cartridge, comprises a pivotally mounted arm having a projection extending into the tunnel in the path of a cartridge received therein. A torsion spring mounted for rotational and torsional movement adjacent the tunnel includes a first end extending outwardly therefrom for engagement with the actuator arm. The second end of the spring extends outwardly toward the cartridge receiving tunnel and includes a roller for receipt in a groove in a side wall of the cartridge. When inserted into the tunnel, the cartridge engages the projection, causing the actuator arm to rotate. Rotation of the arm in turn rotates the torsion spring, thereby to move the roller into the tunnel in engagement with the cartridge in the groove therein. Full insertion of the cartridge into the tunnel ''''twists'''' the torsion spring, providing a force at the roller directed against the tape cartridge to maintain the latter secured in the tunnel.

    摘要： A cartridge locking mechanism for a miniature tape cartridge player adapted to receive standard tape cartridges having a beveled side wall portion at the leading end thereof and a notch, includes a rotatably mounted plate member having a cartridge engaging roller mounted thereon for movement into and out of the player in accordance with the rotation of the plate member and a sensing arm mounted for rotation about the axis of rotation of the plate member and coupled to the plate member by a spring which biases the sensing arm into the path of a cartridge received in the player. The sensing arm engages the beveled side wall portion of the cartridge when the latter is inserted into the player to deflect the sensing arm and thereafter cause rotation of the plate member. An overcenter spring also coupled to the plate member moves from a first stable state to a second stable state to in turn move the roller into engagement with the side wall of the cartridge, and upon full insertion of the latter into the player, into the notch in the side wall of the cartridge.

    摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for automatically positioning a scanning device such as a video camera at selected locations of a substantial area of operation to permit the scanning device to selectively scan different phenomena within the realm of the different areas which may be scanned thereby. In one form, the scanning device is supported by a carriage which is movable along a trackway and is automatically or remotely controlled in its operation. The scanning device is also movable on a fixture which is secured to the carriage so that it may be predeterminately located at different distances from the carriage to scan along different paths of locations. The system includes one or more monitor stations containing receivers of the signals generated by the scanning device and respective viewing screens on which the scanned phenomenon may be displayed. Recording means is also provided which is selectively operably to permit the recording of signals of the scanned phenomena, which signals may be later monitored or analyzed. When it is desired to have a hard copy of the recorded information, a suitable camera or other form of reproduction means is provided which is operable to print copy by the person at the monitor station. In a particular form, the phenomena scanned comprise a plurality of record units or record tracks each containing plural recordings which may be separately and selectively scanned with the scanned information being remotely monitorable and recordable. Control of the operation of the scanner and its conveyance is effected either by automatic means or by remotely generated control signals which are generated by an operator''s selective operation of switches.

    摘要： A tape cartridge locking and ejecting mechanism for use in a cartridge-type tape player for firmly locking the cartridge received in the cartridge receiving chamber in position ready to be reproduced by a sound reproducing head and for automatically or manually ejecting the cartridge, after having been played, without permitting the cartridge to unnecessarily dash out of the player is disclosed. To this end, the locking and ejecting mechanism includes an actuating member having a finger engageable with the front of the inserted cartridge, an operating lever for operating the actuating member in response to movement of a link member which is in turn coupled with a solenoid armature. The operating lever is pulled by a tension spring which acts, when the cartridge is to be ejected, to provide an obstruction to the pivotal movement of the actuating member.
