    摘要： A verifiably identifiable object that includes a primary taggant encoding a readable encrypted first identifier of the object encrypted by a first method and a secondary taggant encoding a readable encrypted second identifier of the object optionally encrypted by a second method. The primary taggant can be a physical identification taggant, such as DNA including an authentication sequence, and the secondary taggant can be a digital identification taggant. The digital identification taggant encodes information validating the physical identification taggant, such as by referencing information embodied in the physical taggant, e.g. the defined sequence within the DNA. Also included is a method and system for identification and/or authentication of an object that includes a primary taggant encoding a readable encrypted first identifier of the object encrypted by a first method and a secondary taggant encoding a readable encrypted second identifier of the object encrypted by a second method.

    摘要： A printing apparatus comprises a step motor for feeding paper in a paper feed direction, an interface for inputting printing data including bar code data, an image buffer for storing bit image data representing at least first and second bar codes which correspond to the same bar code data input by the interface, a thermal head having a row of heating elements perpendicular to the paper feed direction for printing the bit image data stored in the image buffer in units of lines on the paper, and a control circuit for driving the step motor to feed the paper in order to print the bit image data, and for driving the thermal head each time the paper is fed by a preset amount. In the printing apparatus, the first and second bar codes represented by the bit image data are constituted by a set of bar code elements parallel to the paper feed direction and a set of bar code elements perpendicular thereto, respectively, and the control circuit drives the step motor to feed the paper at a first speed in order to print a portion of the bit image data corresponding to the first bar code and at a second speed slower than the first speed in order to print a portion of the bit image data corresponding to the second bar code.

    摘要： Gas cylinder and RFID (radio frequency identification) transponder assemblies and related methods are disclosed that utilize fixed orientations for RFID transponders to overcome problems existing with previous solutions. The disclosed embodiments provide an advantageous solution for utilizing metal plates, such as metal identification plates, to house RFID transponders and to fix the orientation of the RFID transponders to overcame the adverse effects of metal structures distorting the magnetic fields associated with gas cylinders. This fixed orientation combined with a transponder embodying a copper wire antenna wound around a longitudinal axis of a ferrite core and the use of PSK (phase shift keying) modulation allows for adequate reader performance despite the presence of interfering metal structures such as a metal plate used to house an RFID transponder.
