摘要: A reject storage box is provided with a sufficiently thick cover body above a second storage space that stores banknote bundles W that a user has forgotten to take, and a guide space is provided penetrating the cover body in an oblique direction. In the reject storage box, when a banknote bundle falls into an intake hole from above, a lower face of the banknote bundle immediately contacts a position toward the top of a main guide face, and the banknote bundle W travels downward through the guide space with the lower face of the banknote bundle W sliding against the main guide face. The reject storage box thereby enables the banknote bundle dropping downward through the guide space to be maintained in a substantially uniform orientation, and ultimately enables the banknote bundle to be stacked neatly inside the second storage space.

摘要: The present invention is directed to providing a banknote stacking apparatus capable of stably stacking banknotes even when various types of banknotes are stacked therein by preventing banknotes stacked in the banknote stacking space from being blown away. The banknote stacking apparatus includes a stacker for stacking banknotes in the banknote stacking space; a push plate for supporting the banknotes stacked in the banknote stacking space and be movable in a reciprocating direction; a stack guide configured to guide the banknote which passes the stacker to be loaded into the banknote stacking space; a damper configured to press the banknote introduced into one side of the banknote stacking space toward the push plate located on the other side of the banknote stacking space; and a damper driver operating the damper to move in a direction toward the banknote stacking space and a direction away from the banknote stacking space.

摘要: A bill recognizing and counting apparatus includes an operation unit that receives setting of bill processing modes including a denomination mode, a counting mode, a different-denomination recognition mode, and an authenticity determination mode; a feeding and transporting mechanism; and a control unit that performs control for changing a processing speed according to the bill processing mode. When the bill processing mode is in the counting mode, the different-denomination recognition mode, or the authenticity determination mode, the control unit increases the processing speed by setting the feeding and transporting mechanism to a higher speed than the speed set in the denomination mode. The increase in speed is in accordance with a reduced time necessary to process a reduced amount of data associated with the denomination mode.

摘要: A system controlled by a data bearing record includes a card reader that is operative to read data from user cards including identifying data and to authorize operation of an automated banking machine responsive to the identifying data. The automated banking machine includes a deposit accepting device. The deposit accepting device is operative to receive a stack of sheets and to separate each sheet from the stack through operation of a picker. Each sheet is aligned with the sheet path and analyzed by analysis devices including at least one magnetic read head, an imager and/or a validation device. Sheets determined not to have at least one property of a genuine sheet are returned to a user of the machine. Sheets determined to have at least one property of genuine sheets are processed and stored in the machine.

摘要: An apparatus for discriminating valuable papers is provided wherein a validation control circuit 56 (i) drives conveyer device 8 to inwardly move bill along passageway 9 when inlet sensor 13 detects bill, (ii) ceases driving of conveyer device 8 to keep bill in the standby position in passageway 9 when trigger sensor 50 detects bill, (iii) drives a release device 42 to shift a guide roller 40 from the contact position to the separated position, (iv) activates a centering device 10 to centralize bill along the longitudinal central axis of passageway 9, (v) drives release device 42 to return guide roller 40 from the separated position to the contact position, and (vi) again drives conveyer device 8 to further inwardly move bill. When bill is inserted into an inlet 7, inlet sensor 13 detects bill to immediately drive conveyer device 8 and center bill on conveyer device 8 for smooth inserting, transporting and centering of bill with the reduced number of structural components of the apparatus.

摘要: A paper medium recognition device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a main body that provides a transportation path in which an alignment reference line for aligning a paper medium is arranged on one side; and an alignment unit which has a transportation roller which transports the paper medium in the longitudinal direction along the transportation path, and which has an alignment roller that is arranged in the direction orthogonal to the transportation roller so as to transport the paper medium in the width direction toward the alignment reference line. A phase difference is provided during the rotation of the transportation roller and the alignment roller, and thus the paper medium can be alternately transported in the longitudinal direction and width direction.
