摘要: A reading apparatus includes a first line sensor and a second line sensor, and a plurality of signal processing circuits including a first signal processing circuit, the plurality of signal processing circuits configured to receive signals from a corresponding line sensor. The first line sensor corresponds to the first signal processing circuit, and the first line sensor and the second line sensor are arranged in such a way as to be separate from each other in a transport direction and overlap with each other in an intersecting direction. A space is adjacent to the second line sensor in the intersecting direction, and the first signal processing circuit is arranged in the space. The first signal processing circuit is arranged to be adjacent to the first line sensor in the transport direction.

摘要: A portable electronic device includes a touch display configured to sense contact with a finger or stylus, a speaker, and a processing system that communicates with the touch display and the speaker. The device is configured to display a symbol using a set of trace indicator line segments comprising a trace direction indicator and a trace termination indicator and to highlight a region of a first of the trace indicator line segments. The device is configured to detect user touch input at multiple locations on the touch display and determine whether the first trace indicator line segment has been traced from the highlighted region to the termination indicator in a direction corresponding to the trace direction indicator, and in response, to draw and maintain a color line corresponding to the detected user touch input at the multiple locations.

摘要: Embodiments described herein provide various examples of an age and gender estimation system capable of performing age and gender classifications on face images having sizes greater than the maximum number of input pixels supported by a given small-scale hardware convolutional neutral network (CNN) module. In some embodiments, the proposed age and gender estimation system can first divide a high-resolution input face image into a set of image patches with judiciously designed overlaps among neighbouring patches. Each of the image patches can then be processed with a small-scale CNN module, such as the built-in CNN module in Hi3519 SoC. The outputs corresponding to the set of image patches can be subsequently merged to obtain the output corresponding to the input face image, and the merged output can be further processed by subsequent layers in the age and gender estimation system to generate age and gender classifications for the input face image.

摘要: Embodiments described herein provide various examples of a face detection system, based on using a small-scale hardware convolutional neutral network (CNN) module configured into a multi-task cascaded CNN. In some embodiments, a subimage-based CNN system can be configured to be equivalent to a large-scale CNN that processes the entire input image without partitioning such that the output of the subimage-based CNN system can be exactly identical to the output of the large-scale CNN. Based on this observation, some embodiments of this patent disclosure make use of the subimage-based CNN system and technique on one or more stages of a cascaded CNN or a multitask cascaded CNN (MTCNN) so that a larger input image to a given stage of the cascaded CNN or the MTCNN can be partitioned into a set of subimages of a smaller size. As a result, each stage of the cascaded CNN or the MTCNN can use the same small-scale hardware CNN module that is associated with a maximum input image size constraint.

摘要: Optical codes can include scanning an optical code and a character surrounding the optical code with a computer. A uniform resource locator can be extracted from the optical code. The uniform resource locator can be modified by associating the character surrounding the optical code with the URL extracted from the optical code.

摘要: A system, method and computer program product for use in digital note taking with handwriting input to a computing device are provided. The computing device is connected to an input device in the form of an input surface. A user is able to provide input by applying pressure to or gesturing above the input surface using either his or her finger or an instrument such as a stylus or pen. The present system and method monitors the input strokes. The computing device further has a processor and at least one application for recognizing the handwriting input under control of the processor. The at least one system application is configured to cause display of, on a display interface of a computing device, digital ink in a block layout in accordance with a layout of blocks of the handwriting input and a configuration of the computing device display interface.

摘要: In a question generating device, a reader reads a document and generates a document image. An extracting section extracts an original form character part on the basis of a marked character part included in the document image. The original form character part represents an original form of a plurality of candidate character parts that are candidate answers to a question generated from the document image. A setting section sets as the plurality of candidate character parts, the original form character part and at least one character part formed by either or both adding a character to and deleting a character from the original form character part. A selecting section selects a candidate character part of the highest priority from among the plurality of candidate character parts. A generating section generates the question using the candidate character part of the highest priority as the answer.

摘要: A computer-implemented method of generating a spatio-temporal pattern model for spatio-temporal pattern recognition includes receiving one or more training trajectories. Each of the training trajectories includes diverse data points that represent a spatio-temporal pattern. The received training trajectories define an area that is partitioned into one or more observed clusters, and a unpopulated complementary cluster. The spatio-temporal pattern model is generated so as to include both of the observed clusters and the unpopulated complementary cluster.

摘要: Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein that enhance drawing technology in application user interfaces. In an implementation, a guide object is disclosed herein that allows a user to draw against the guide object, position other objects against, and otherwise interact with the guide object as-if it were a stencil. The guide object may be presented as a drawing tool in a user interface to an application that a user may invoke by user input to assist with the creation of content on a canvas. As a line is drawn proximate to the guide object, for example, or as a shape is positioned nearby the guide object, the application obtains guidance information from the guide object that allows the application to render the interaction between line or shape and the guide object as-if it were an actual stencil.
