    摘要: The vision system illumination calibration apparatus uses a pair of lamps, located one on either side of a vision element to illuminate a set of machine-readable characters imprinted in bar code format on a label affixed to a calibration target plate. The required level of illumination is set by the use of a predetermined calibration target label. The vision system is positioned opposite this calibration target label and the illumination level is varied in sequential steps. Control software identifies a range of illumination levels in which the calibration target label is accurately read by the vision element and sets the level of illumination of the lamps in this range of values.

    摘要: It is determined whether the first tool identification information that is output from a robot control device, and that indicates a present tool and the second tool identification information for detecting and identifying a tool attached to the robot are unequal to each other. The position coordinates of the taught reference point in an actual space of the robot occurring at the time when the unequalness therebetween is first detected are set as reference coordinates, and a region that contains the reference coordinates is set as a predetermined region. If the position coordinates of the taught reference point have come to exist outside the predetermined region during a period during which it is determined that the foregoing two pieces of information are unequal, an emergency stop signal for causing the robot to be in a safe state is output.

    摘要: A tooling system that includes a drive unit configured to provide rotational force to a tool member. The tool member is attached at a mount on the drive unit. A camera associated with the drive unit is aligned to capture a target on the tool member. The data is sent to a controller that identifies the tool member based on the target. The controller determines whether the tool member is correct for performing an operation on a work piece. If the tool member is correct, the controller may set one or more operating parameters on the drive unit. If the controller determines that the tool member is not correct, the drive unit is disabled. Further, a signal may be sent to inform an operator of the issue.

    摘要: A tool position offsetting system for a spare tool, including a tool life detecting device provided for detecting a broken or substantially worn tool and for replacing the same by a spare tool, and a detecting device which detects whether the spare tool is inserted in the tool spindle. If the detecting device makes a detection, an input controlling circuit applies several signals to a numerical controller so as to instruct the same to introduce the dimensional data for the spare tool into the memory of the numerical controller, resulting in amending the offset data stored in the memory before a machining operation. After the machining operation, the input controlling circuit applies several signals so as to remove the dimensional data from the memory, resulting in restoring the tool offset data to its original setting.
