    Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive base and a single-layer-type photosensitive layer on the conductive base. The photosensitive layer contains a binder resin, a charge generation material, a hole transport material, a fluorine-atom-containing electron transport material, and fluorine-atom-containing resin particles. An amount of the charge generation material in the photosensitive layer is 0.5% by weight or more and less than 2.0% by weight. The charge generation material has a distribution that satisfies Formula (1): 30≦a/b in a thickness direction of the photosensitive layer where a and b are as defined in the specification, and b may be 0. The fluorine-atom-containing electron transport material has a distribution that satisfies Formula (2): 30≦c/d in the thickness direction of the photosensitive layer where c and d are as defined in the specification, and d may be 0.

    Abstract: Branched polyarylene ether polymers comprising a plurality of branch points, each branch point being of the formula wherein each Ar is an aryl moiety or an alkylaryl moiety, provided that when Ar is an alkylaryl moiety at least three of the repeating groups are bonded to an aryl portion thereof through the oxygen atoms in the repeating groups, each x, independently of the others, is an integer of 3 or greater, each m, independently of the others, is an integer of 0 or 1, each D, independently of the others, is either (a) another branch point, (b) a terminal group, or (c) of a defined formula. Also disclosed are imaging members containing these polymers.

    Abstract: A flexible imaging member which does not require the use of an anti-curl back coating is disclosed herein. The flexible imaging member has a layer comprising two charge transport molecules dispersed in a film-forming polymer binder and an overcoat layer. The first charge transport molecule is a biphenyl amine, terphenyl diamine, or bis(triarylamine) stilbene. The second charge transport molecule is a bis(triarylamine), tri-p-tolylamine, or triphenylamine. The weight ratio of second charge transport molecule to first charge transport molecule is from about 90:10 to about 66:34. Trifluoro acetic acid is also added to the layer containing the charge transport material.

    Abstract: An organophotoreceptor comprises an electrically conductive substrate and photoconductive element on the electrically conductive substrate, the photoconductive element having a) a charge transport material with the formula where X is a linking group having the formula —(CH2)m—, branched or linear, where m is an integer between 0 and 20, inclusive, and one or more of the methylene groups is optionally replaced by O, S, C═O, O═S═O, a heterocyclic group, an aromatic group, urethane, urea, an ester group, a NR3 group, a CHR4 group, or a CR5R6 group where R3, R4, R5, and R6 are, independently, H, hydroxyl group, thiol group, an alkyl group, an alkaryl group, a heterocyclic group, or an aryl group; R1 and R2 are independently a hydrogen, a halogen, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkaryl group, an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group; Y is an aromatic group; and n is a distribution of integer values greater than 2; and (b) a charge generating compound. The charge transport material can be crosslinked with a polymer binder either directly or through a crosslinking agent.
