Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrophotographic photoreceptor including a conductive support, a photosensitive layer on the conductive support and a surface layer on the photosensitive layer. The surface layer includes a cured resin prepared by polymerization of a compound having two or more radically polymerizable functional groups per molecule, the cured resin containing an organic resin fine particle and a metal oxide fine particle, and the organic resin fine particle comprising a resin containing a structural unit derived from at least one of melamine and benzoguanamine, the organic resin fine particle having a number average primary particle size of 0.01 to 3.00 μm.
Abstract:
A photoreceptor including an electroconductive substrate; a photosensitive layer, which is located overlying the electroconductive substrate and which includes a charge generation material, a charge transport material having no radical polymerizability, a binder resin having no radical polymerizability, and a crosslinked polymer including a unit obtained from a first radically polymerizable monomer having three or more functional groups and no charge transport structure and a unit obtained from a second radically polymerizable monomer having a charge transport structure; and an outermost layer, which is located on the photosensitive layer and which includes a crosslinked polymer including a unit obtained from a third radically polymerizable monomer having three or more functional groups and no charge transport structure and a unit obtained from a fourth radically polymerizable monomer having a charge transport structure. An image forming method and apparatus, and a process cartridge using the photoreceptor.
Abstract:
The presently disclosed embodiments relate generally to image forming systems comprising imaging apparatus members and toner compositions. More specifically, the present embodiments relate to specific toner compositions for use with electrophotographic imaging members comprising an overcoat layer protecting the imaging member surface and a contact type charging device, such as a “bias charge roll” (BCR). The toner compositions comprise a combination of additives that provide an image forming system that does not suffer from the commonly observed deletion and imaging member wear issues.
Abstract:
A photoconductor containing an optional supporting substrate layer, a photogenerating layer, a polyalkylene glycol benzoate containing charge transport layer, and a top overcoat layer in contact with and contiguous to the charge transport layer, and which overcoat layer includes charge transport compounds and melamine resins.
Abstract:
The presently disclosed embodiments relate generally to layers that are useful in imaging apparatus members and components, for use in electrophotographic, including digital printing, apparatuses. More particularly, the embodiments pertain to an improved electrophotographic imaging member comprising an overcoat layer which prevents image quality issues such as deletion. The overcoat layer comprises a phenolic triarylamine charge transport molecule, an aminoplast and a triamino triphenyl compound.
