Abstract: An image-receiving element for use in photographic and photothermographic diffusion transfer film units of the type where the image-receiving element is designed to be removed, or “peeled-apart” from a photosensitive element following exposure and photographic processing. The present image-receiving element comprises, in sequence, a support, an image-receiving layer and a strip-coat layer which serves to facilitate separation of the image-receiving element from the photosensitive element after photographic processing. The strip-coat layer comprises an anion of poly(acrylic acid), or a salt thereof, complexed with a cationic quaternary salt. In a preferred embodiment, the strip coat layer may include an ethoxylated alcohol.

Abstract: A method for producing a fluid trap for an instant film assemblage, which method can produce an environment-friendly trap easily and at low cost, is disclosed. A plate-shaped paper material having a uniform width and a uniform thickness is passed through a clearance formed between a pair of rollers. The plate-shaped paper material is compressed at width-directional opposite end portions thereof such that a thickness of the paper material gradually decreases from a central portion thereof toward opposite ends thereof, and at the same time, the paper material is cut along a longitudinal direction thereof to a predetermined width. Thereafter, the paper material is cut along the width direction thereof at predetermined intervals with respect to the longitudinal direction thereof, thereby producing the trap.

Abstract: The invention relates to a diffusion transfer type film unit which can produce the same two picture prints at one shot of photographing. The film unit comprises a first sheet and a second sheet. The first sheet includes at least transparent sheet through which exposure is made. The second sheet includes at least photosensitive layer. In one embodiment, two dye image receiving layers are disposed on the first and second sheets separately and a peeling-off layer is disposed between the photosensitive layer and a dye image receiving layer on the second sheet. In another embodiment, two dye image receiving layers are disposed on the same second sheet and a peeling-off layer is disposed therebetween. In both embodiments, the second sheet is capable of being separated into two parts at the interface of the dye image receiving layer and the peeling-off layer. After development, respective picture images on the two dye image receiving layers can be viewed by separating the second sheet into two parts.

Abstract: A color diffusion transfer film unit and an image formation method using the same are disclosed, in which a light-sensitive material containing a specific sulfonamide compound of formula (I) and a specific tertiary amine compound of formula (II) is processed with an alkali processing composition containing a specific tertiary amine polymer. The film provides a transferred color image having a high density with reduced dependency on processing time, and suppresses changes in density of the resulting image with time after processing.

Abstract: An improved film format for a self-developing, peel-apart film unit having flexible positive and negative sheet elements and a pod of developer liquid, wherein at least one of the sheet elements bends when a force is applied to a trailing edge thereof to effect sheet element movement. Abstract: There is described a self-developing film unit which has a photosensitive member and an image-receiving member and wherein one outermost surface of the film unit comprises a support layer carrying a layer of a releasable material and a layer of an adhesive material. After an image is formed in the film unit by photoexposure of the photosensitive element and photographic processing of the exposed photosensitive element, the support and releasable material layer can be removed and the film unit or the image-receiving element, as the case may be, adhered to a surface for viewing of the image.
