    摘要: Methods and systems are provided to measure the optical anisotropy properties of a film on glass or other substrates. This technique is suitable for production environments, and is not strongly affected by the TFT or CF active area on LCD panels, even for very high pixel density displays. A method is provided for measuring a magnitude and orientation of optical anisotropy. These methods and systems include an optical anisotropy measurement apparatus for measuring anisotropic materials in a reflection or transmission configuration. The methods and systems may measure a Mueller matrix, diattentuation orientation, or retardance of a sample at one or more rotation angles to calculate anisotropic magnitude and orientation.

    摘要: In a method for calibrating a polarization axis measuring device, both flat sides of a calibration element in a polarization axis measuring device are irradiated with polarized light, wherein the method involves aligning in each case at least one polarization direction of the light in a first and/or second rotational position with a principal axis in a predefined angular relationship with respect to a polarization axis of the calibration element. Determining the rotational position of an axis of the calibration element is carried out by determining an angle bisector between the first and second rotational positions of the polarization direction of the incident light. The method involves assigning a predefined angle value for the rotational position of the principal axis of the polarization direction for which the latter is in the predefined angular relationship with respect to the axis of the calibration element inserted as intended. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for determining polarization axes of spectacle lenses, to a calibration element, and to a polarization axis measuring device comprising a calibration element.

    摘要: An analysis system comprises a transmitting device (1.1) and a receiving device (1.2). The transmitting devices comprises means for illuminating an object (1.3), or a part of the object, by a first light beam (1.8) consisting of signals with two distinct frequencies and first orthogonal polarisation states. The receiving device comprises means (1.6) for detecting, in a second light beam with second polarisation states and resulting from the illumination of the object to be analysed by the first light beam, a signal at a beat frequency equal to a difference between the two frequencies of the first light beam; and means (1.7) for obtaining information relating to the depolarising or dichroic character of the object, or of the part of the object, according to the detection or not of a signal at the beat frequency.
