Abstract: Provided are an energy big data system and an operation management method associated with meter environment information. A method for managing meters according to an embodiment includes: collecting energy usage data from the meters; collecting environmental data of the meters; and predicting states of the meters, based on the collected environmental data. Accordingly, states of meters may be predicted based on collected environmental information and meter reading information of the meters, so that the meters may be efficiently operated and managed, and a new energy service may be provided through analysis of big data including meter reading information and meter installation environment information.

Abstract: A method of monitoring a set of meters that are connected to a common remote processor device, the method comprising both first steps performed in each meter for: acquiring primary measurements of a magnitude representative of the occurrence of an anomaly; selecting pertinent measurements from the primary measurements, the pertinent measurements satisfying a pertinence criterion; regularly transmitting the pertinent measurements to the remote processor device; and second steps performed in the remote processor device, for: comparing, for each meter, the pertinent measurements with a detection threshold common to all of the meters of the set of meters in order to attempt detecting an anomaly associated with said meter; and adjusting the detection threshold dynamically as a function of the percentage of meters detected as being associated with an anomaly.

Abstract: A consumption meter, e.g. a water or heat meter, for measuring a flow rate of a fluid supplied in a flow tube. First and second ultrasonic transducers are arranged at the flow tube for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic signals transmitted through the fluid and operated by a flow measurement sub-circuit for generating a signal indicative of the flow rate of the fluid. A noise measurement sub-circuit operates a sensor arranged at the flow tube for detection of acoustic signals of the flow tube, and being arranged to generate a signal indicative of a noise level of the flow tube accordingly. This sensor may comprise a separate transducer, or the sensor may be constituted by one or both of the first and second ultrasonic transducers. The consumption meter may communicate data representative of the noise level via a communication module along with data consumed amount of water, heat etc. Such consumer noise level measurement at the consumer site allows collection of noise level data to assist in locating fluid leakages in a fluid supply pipe system.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system for detecting water usage violations from streamed meter data is described.
