    摘要: A sound emitting trackable arrow having an elongated cylindrical shaft that includes an insert member attached at one end and a nock member attached to the other end. A wireless tracking component may be coupled with either the insert member or the nock member, with the wireless tracking component fully enclosed inside the shaft. The wireless tracking component includes a plurality of electronic components which enable it to emit an audible sound in response to receiving an alert signal wirelessly and emit a signal strength value wirelessly which enables a real time proximity determination. A discrete, remote tracking device that is adapted to provide a user interface and to communicate wirelessly with the wireless tracking component is also provided. The remote tracking device is operative to continually maintain and display a determination of the approximate distance of the arrow and selectively cause the arrow emit an audible sound.

    摘要: Described is a scent-emitting arrowhead comprising a hollow container having a first end, a second end, and an interior cavity. The interior cavity is adapted to receive and store a scent-emitting material. The container further comprises a plurality of vents that allow the scent-emitting material to be dispersed into the surroundings during the arrow's flight. The first end of the container is adapted to attach to the shaft of an arrow, and the second end of the container comprises a removable lid adapted to removably attach to the second end of the container. The lid is substantially conical in shape such that the lid defines the tip of the arrowhead. The vents may be covered by one or more removable adhesive strips that prevent the scent-emitting material from escaping through the vents until the time when the arrowhead is desired to be used.

    摘要: A training ammunition projectile has a solid chemical component disposed in a base compartment that produces a gaseous visible plume after impact. The ammunition cartridge generates kinetic energy while propelling the projectile through a weapon barrel. This firing process imparts heat into a projectiles driving band. When the projectile is in flight, heat passes from the projectile's driving band into a compartment in the projectile housing the chemical component. When the component is exposed to increasing heat and low pressure, the it undergoes rapid sublimation. The projectile is configured with a vent opening in its base for emergence of the gaseous plume during flight. The opening is preferably capped to allow for stable storage and to prevent any gas from escaping until the projectile is fired.
