摘要: An apparatus 20 for microwave vacuum-drying organic materials such as foods and bioactives has a plurality of microwave generators 50 actuated so as to cause interference between their respective microwave streams and evenly distribute the microwave energy across the vacuum chamber 34. The microwave-transparent window 36 in the chamber is arranged so the organic material to be dried is moved across it on a conveyor belt 60 and the microwave energy passing into the chamber 34 immediately encounters the organic materials, thus attenuating the energy and reducing arcing.

In some embodiments, the separation unit includes a tension pulley for maintaining tension in the flat-wire conveyor belt. The flat-wire conveyor belt is looped around the head pulley, tail pulley and tension pulley. In some embodiments, the head pulley and/or tail pulley include teeth for removing material from the mesh openings of the flat-wire belt conveyor.

Each conveyor (42, 44) includes a plurality of conveyor pans (50) traveling between and around aligned front and rear sprocket pairs (90, 92) to define upper and lower conveyor runs (52, 54). Each pan (50) has a perforated base plate (56) presenting a pair of opposed material-supporting surfaces (58, 60). As the pans (50) traverse the sprocket pairs (90, 92), they are inverted, and material (110) carried by the upper run pans (50) is transferred to the lower run pans (50) by passage of the material around and/or between the sprocket pair (90).

摘要: The present comprises: a first coal dryer; a second coal dryer; and a third dryer, by removing moisture remaining inside and outside of coal, which is used for fueling thermal power plants, in the multiple coal dryers using reheat steam at a high temperature, incomplete combustion of coal can be prevented, thereby enhancing heat capacity of the coal, minimizing release of pollutants, preventing corrosion and enhancing the durability of a system, reducing the rate of spontaneous combustion due to reduced moisture, improving crushing efficiency of a coal pulverizer and heat distribution of a power boiler when coal is combusted, resolving the issue of clogging of a moving pathway when coal is transported, and improving coal supply stability by increasing utilization of low-quality coal for which demand is low. Furthermore, the following advantages can be provided: use of low heat capacity coal which is more affordable than high heat capacity coal; savings in fuel cost and manufacturing cost by reduced coal importation; reduction of waste, pollutants, and carbon dioxide generated from exhaust gas by relative reduction of coal consumption, and the advantages of replacement of foreign technology and exportation of equipment to foreign markets could be anticipated.

摘要: An apparatus for removing liquid from a suspension comprises: one or more drying chambers; a conveyor system for transporting the suspension through the drying chambers at a substantially continuous speed, including a semi-permeable conveyor belt; a blower for injecting air into the drying chambers; a vacuum pipe and one or more vacuum pipe segments that extend from the vacuum pipe into each of the drying chambers for drawing saturated air out of each of the drying chambers, and wherein the vacuum pipe is operably connected to an intake of the blower. The apparatus may further comprise a condenser receiving the saturated air from the vacuum pipe, cooling the saturated air, and collecting liquid from the saturated air before returning it to the blower. The apparatus may further comprise a preheating arrangement in which cooled air exiting the condenser is passed through the drying chambers before returning it to the blower.

摘要: An apparatus for producing a water-absorbing polymer by polymerizing a monomer solution and drying the resulting hydrogel by means of a heated gas stream through effecting the drying in two or more temperature zones. A gas stream is flowed against the hydrogel upwardly in the upstream sector of the belt dryer and downwardly in the downstream sector of the belt dryer, the direction of flow being reversed at a water content of 15% to 45% by weight for the hydrogel. The hydrogel layer is flowed against in a belt dryer upwardly to some extent at least, the gas velocity being 5% to 30% of the gas velocity required to lift the hydrogel off the belt, to produce hygiene articles.
